Chapter Four

I find my self in the middle of a maze , how I got there I do not know . Moonlight filter through the thick canopy of leaves , offering mere glimpse of what lies ahead of me . The air is filled with a tangible feeling of apprehension, i press forward trying to escape this labyrinthine nightmare but there is not escaping this enigmatic world . Suddenly a creature appeared in front of me. The creature exhibits both combination of grace and unbridled primal strength , it’s gray fur seems to absorb the moonlight that filters through the canopy . It’s gold eyes seems to glitter with a primal intelligence holding a mysterious depth , a glimpse into the wildness that burns within .

As the wolf moves towards me, it’s frame move like poetry in motion and embodiment of grace . Then it stops at my feet . All of a sudden I was startled awake , sweating profusely. It was a dream but I could have sworn that the wolf was familiar. I could make sense of the dream so I decide to let it go , it’s just a dream after all

Seeing that it was bright outside , I dress up and head downstairs. My mum and Sofia were sitting on the coach in the living room . They are in the middle of a conversation when they see me

“Good morning ” I greet

“ Good morning Karen , your breakfast is in the kitchen when you are ready “ Sofia respond smiling at me

“ okay thank you “ I say smiling back noting that my mom is acting like I do not exist but I shrug it off and head to the kitchen because I am starving . During my meal , I kept hoping that Edward would come out of his room but i didn’t see any traces of him even up to this moment . I’m restless now , worrying about what I have done to make him disappear all morning. Gosh what is wrong with me , this is someone I just met yesterday and I am acting like I can not survive without setting my eyes on him .

To distract my self from worrying to much about him , I decide to look for a book in the library Sofia told me about the previous day . The library didn’t have much books but I was able to get a few and I spend the rest of the morning reading until I fall sleep .

Im my sleep , I see my self reliving the same dream I had earlier but this time around the wolf bow at my feet . I didn’t understand what was going on so I turned to run but in no time the wolf tackled me to the ground . Looking at it’s glittering eyes as it bends over me to prevent me from getting up , I realize that the wolf reminded me of Edward , why will this creature remind me of Edward , nothing was making sense at the moment but before I pull comprehend what was happened, the wolf disappeared into thin air .

It was like it was never there , and I wake up panting and sweating profusely, confused as hell .

Disoriented , I get up from my bed to see Edward standing in my door way looking dejected.

“ hi “ I say to him, he look like he was in so much pain But he only continues to stare at me .

“ sorry I walked out on you last night “ he apologizes

“ it’s fine ”I say

Then he moves closer to me. holding me in his hands while his hands rub circles in my lower back . I didn’t know one could feel such joy from such simple gesture . Sparks of electricity jolts through my lower back where his fingers are rubbing me , making my heart beat skip .

“ you make me lose my sanity baby girl ” he says looking so pained “ I don’t think I can stay away from you “

Not knowing what to say , I just stare at him liking his hand movement on my body .

Out of the blue , He kissed me , a fleeting but meaningful peck . In that moment, the world seems to non existent, I could not think of anything except the feel of his lips pressed against mine but all too soon he pulled away .

I stare up at him as he smile at me , Almost like he was proud of himself . I stare at his lips wishing he would repeat the peck but my some wishes never come through as he pulls away from me and walk out of the room with the instructions for me to get dress as he was taking me out for dinner. . After he left , I stand in the middle of the room touching my lips while waiting for my heart bear to return back to normal . Once my heart stopped racing , I pick out an outfit for the dinner , style my straight black hair into a ponytail and dress up . I make sure to look my best , sexy and hot before I head to the living room to meet him . I see him talking to my mom and I could hear him telling her that we are going out for dinner before I get to them and the halt the conversation. My mom tells us to have and leaves us alone .. immediately my mom leaves, he turns to me smiling ear to ear before pecking me and telling me how beautiful I look . I bask in the compliment as that was what I was aiming for when I chose the black short gown with glitters and the bright red wedge . He pecks me on my cheeks and we head out for the night .
