"What do you mean she's going to kill us all?" Sakiya questioned. Sylis was trying to hurry in getting Sakiya free, and had no time to answer her questions while unlocking the bars that were holding her hostage. "We'll discuss this later, kiya. For now, mom and dad are in a meeting and Sadie went to her room. Everyone else is on break. We have to go now, and I'm going with you." Sylis revealed to Sakiya's suprise. "You're going with me? Sylis, don't you think you need to stay here to avoid suspicion?" Sakiya sequestered, but Sylis didn't want to hear anything when it came to talking him out of it. He was going whether she objected to it or not. "Sakiya, I've made my decision, and that's final. I'm leaving with you, and we'll figure this out together. I'd never forgive myself if I sent you off on your own and had no idea of what would happen after that. I'm of better assistance if I'm there right along with you, and if we work together we can figure out everything we need to know. There's two sides to this coin, and both of us are included.
"If you say so." Sakiya retorted, "But just so you know, it will lie upon me if something happens to you." Sakiya responded, Sylis finally getting the cell opened for Sakiya to be free. "All of that is just rifraff. For now, we get out of here while we have the chance to." He replied. He grabbed Sakiya by the arm and pulled her from the cell towards the door. Once they reached the hallway, Sylis looked around the corner for any presence before they proceeded, shutting the door to the hidden room as if no one had intruded. No one was watching as everyone was busy tending to their duties or meetings, so they continued on their escape. Sakiya started to ask something before Sylis put his finger to his lips, silencing anything she could have said before they could make it out of there. He didn't want anything to be heard or risk their chance to escape. Sakiya continued to follow him through the corridor, him checking each crevice and around every turn on their way out. As they reached a corner next to the main living area that led to the exit, Sakiya watched as Sylis grabbed two backpacks form behind a couch that was situated against the wall. He handed one of them to Sakiya and motioned for her to place it over her shoulder, and then continued to the door that led them out of the house, through a door on the side of the mansion.
"Hey! Where do you think you're taking her!" a man yelled, Sylis looked back and immediately recognized the man as one of Sadie's personal servants. "We have to run, NOW!" Sylis told Sakiya. He opened the door and guided her outside the building, following behind her. Sylis shut the door behind him, knowing Sadie's servant would inform her of what was happening. They had to make strategic moves from here on out not to be caught. Not by Sadie's team or their parent's, as they would want to get to the bottom of it and they didn't want to be stuck there for something else to happen. Sylis looked behind them as they tried to make their way away from the mansion. "I've made a plan specifically for this moment. Let's go." Sylis said, grabbing Sakiya by the hand again and pulling her around the building and towards the woods behind their mansion. They ran as fast as they could, stampeding the branches and leaves that marked their way, running zig zags. There was a lot that Sylis had discovered, and he wanted to wait until they came to a safe place before he revealed anything. He was nervous that as close as they still were to the mansion, ears listening could still potentially hear him. He kept his pace with Sakiya pulled closely behind him moving past the many trees and bushes until they reached a small clearing ahead, a little tree house hidden within the distance. Sylis looked back at Sakiya and she understood their unspoken words with only the look he gave her, They needed to reach the treehouse.
They arrive to the bottom of the rope ladder, Sylis waving for Sakiya to go ahead and climb. She looked worriedly at him for a moment, before she tightened her bag on her shoulder and began scaling the ropes to the small wooden shack built within the hidden trees. The treehouse would have been hard to spot, as Sylis built it for that purpose. He has had suspicions for awhile, and made this place in case he would ever need it. He thought it was at the most overdramatic, but he was wrong. The time had finally came that he could put it to use. He wasn't wrong in his suspicions of those around him.
Sakiya reached the top of the dwelling and Sylis began his climb, once he reached the inside of the tree house, he pulled the rope inside to close the sliding door which blended in with the rest of the woods as did his whole treehouse. It was camouflaged, just as he wanted it to be. No one would find them there right away, it was obstructed from view and would take quite awhile to seek it out. "Sylis, I need you to talk to me. What's with all of this? Did you find something?" Sakiya rendered out of breath from all the running. Sylis checked every corner and out of the small holes he had created for makeshift windows to see if there was anyone around, and to his relief there wasn't.
"Sakiya. I need you to listent to me. If I stayed there, I wouldn't be alive before long. One thing I need you to understand is my parents have a hand in all of this. They aren't regular foster parents as they had pretended, Sakiya. They did this for a reason. I found a box in Sadie's room." He started off, causing Sakiya to furrow her brows. She knew that there was something more to this, but for it to turn out this way was shocking to her. "My mom and dad are working for Mr. Black. My sister on the other hand, is pretending to be okay with their antics because she is blackmailing Monticello for her own benefit. She wants him to marry her when she turns 18." He continued. Sakiya rememebered the words Sadie had spoken while in the cell room with her. "Your sister actually had spoken about that when she visited me in the cell, after she kidnapped me from my room. I was so hoping you wer paying attention Sylis, and you were, you saved me! Sadie was going to use me as a bargaining tool, and i'm so happy we didn't make it to that point. Had I made it to the new home, you know what would happen to me." Sakiya replied, looking down in her lap. "If it weren't for you, hard telling what would've happened next. She told me Mr. Black wanted me, but didn't say why. She also mentioned something about my real parents being innocent." Sakiya finished. She was distraught by this point, because she didn't understand the background behind it. She wanted to know what was really going on, but she wasn't going to get the answers handed to her. "Your parents are innocent, Sakiya. They were just a pawn in the bigger scheme of things." Sylis replied.
He pulled the dark colored back pack off of his shoulder before dropping it before him on the floor in which he was sitting on. Sakiya gave him her full attention, He unzipped his bag and pulled out a small, shiny black box. "This, this holds some of the answers we're looking for." He told her. She took a look at the box before Sylis opened it, revealing a small personal notebook he pulled out of it. "What is that?" Sakiya asked, not knowing what he was hinting at. "This, Sakiya, is my sister's personal journal. And I'm sure it reveals a part of her plans, from what I've been able to read from it, anyway." He continued before flipping open the first page. He pointed toma sentence within the page, and Sakiya gasped. "Is that true?" Sakiya questioned. "I guess there's more to this than we realize. Maybe humans aren't involved after all. We've been told a lie all along." Sylis stated, Sakiya still in disbelief from the sentence she had just read. "Wait. How did you know how to get me out of there?"
