King's Study Alpha Sam's Pov Sam swirled the scotch in his glass as he contemplated what the king just asked, he knew it was an order from his king but to even consider harming a child was wrong. He clenched his fist In anger at the thought, that to harm your son was extreme, the boy messed up he agreed with that. He was already punished by the dead boy's father for his crime, that scar will remain with him forever, but to banish him when he's barely more than a pup was wrong and his father knows this. And so Sam rises in front of his old friend one last time, the friend he grew up with, fought for, and would die for, he knew that what he was about to say would change their relationship forever. Sam drinks the scotch before placing it down the glass. He gazes at William. " No I won't vote to banish a helpless pup, no matter his crimes," he thought to himself then he paused. Sam knew the laws of their kind and further punishment is required. Hurting a pack member is forbidden, but to kill another wolf that's not a rouge, that's the ultimate any wolf can commit, so he knows the pups' chances of survival are slim as the king and queen and most of the pack despise him so there's no way he can be saved. Unless there's only one thing he can do to save the boy. " I'll take him with me," Sam thinks to himself. He can't tell the king this of course. He'll have to sneak the boy out right from under the king's nose. Sam took a deep breath " I'll take the boy as my son" he thinks to himself and with his wolf encouraging him that it was the right thing to do he knew what his decision was. " I won't vote to banish a pup William," Sam said. King William sighs as he hears this. " I was hoping I could count on your support brother, but it seems I was wrong to do so," the king said. " William he's your son, how could you even consider doing this?" Sam asked. " My son?" the king laughed cruelly while shaking his head " He's the son of a w***e who seduced me, the bastard is no son of mine," the king said. " Since I can't count on your support then I have no further use for you, you're dismissed," the king said. Sam nods and then walked toward the door. He turned around and glanced at the king one last time sam knows he will be punished as well . " If the boy survives he will hate you, William, Mark my words the goddess makes sure justice is done" and with that, he turned around and walked through the door. " Time to find the boy and get out of h, here," Sam thought to himself as he began running towards the holding cells. Kai's Pov Kai laid down on the cold ground of the cell whimpering in pain from the s***h across his face. How could he allow them to do that to me, Kai thought to himself. He's been told his father doesn't love him and he didn't understand why but that's what he's been told by the other pups and adults. He couldn't understand why, he's given up on trying to earn his father's love a long time ago, some would think that because he's a prince he lived in luxury but that couldn't be farther from the truth. He lived in a common room used to host the guard wolves, the queen said she didn't want to see a bastard every day for the rest of her life once she married my father. He's had to sleep anywhere he could find a nap, sometimes it's outside, other times he sleeps with any of the guard wolves that were kind enough to allow him to sleep in their rooms. That was his life until a couple of hours ago, he trailed off as he could still hear the screams of terror from the other pups as he changed for the first time. Earlier Kai was sitting in the room he and the other pups used as they played, Kayla sat beside me as she braided her long black hair. Her brother Derrick and his half-brother wrestled in their wolf forms. A maid sat down in a chair reading from a book while keeping an eye on the pups as they played. His little sister Mia walked over to him holding a storybook. " could you read this to me please," she said giving him her puppy dog eyes. He smiled at her, her mother warned her to stay away from him on multiple occasions, but no matter how much they tried to poison her mind against him they failed. Whenever Kai didn't get any food, she would find a way to sneak some of her food to give him. Kai and his half-brother have a subdued relationship at best, while he doesn't mistreat him anyway, he doesn't speak to him, and Derricks does the same as well. And as for Kayla every time they glanced at each other, they couldn't stop themselves from blushing or smiling when their hands touched. His little sister has teased him nonstop about it. All the other children avoid him, but sometimes he can hear them whisper. " The cursed one" Kai didn't have a wolf. A cursed one as the elders told everyone. That's what they called him, it wasn't better from the bastard, but he didn't care the stoic mask he's developed over the years was always plastered across his face. No matter the insults or the punishments they would give him, he didn't react, it's only out of the view of others does he let his true emotions show. One time his sister found him crying and instead of teasing him she sat beside him and placed her little hands over his and stayed with him. Kai took the book from her and she sat down beside him and he began reading it to her. But as soon as the maid left the problems started. Reilly an alpha's son that was jealous of Kai's and Kayla's relationship soon began harassing him. Kai tried to block him out as he continued calling him names. He snatched the book from kai's hands and tore it In two causing Mia to cry. Kai held unto her and tried to calm her down. Her brother growled at him but Rielly's friends blocked him from coming any closer. Kai stood up and he pushed him down. Mia tried to stop him and he pushed her away causing her to hit her head. Seeing his little sister crying on the ground while clutching her head in pain caused him to lose it. He launched himself at Reilly but he dodged with a laugh before punching him in the stomach knocking the wind out of Kia. Kai curled up into a ball holding his stomach as Reilly ey kicked him over and over again causing him to cry out from the pain. " Your nothing but a pathetic bastard that shouldn't have been born," he said cruelly. ' Reilly that's enough" Kai heard Kayla say holding onto a crying Mia. "You're defending him," he said pointing at a bruised kai. As Kai laid down crying thinking about everything he's been through he gives in to the dark thoughts that he's been getting ever since the last full moon. As he looked at his crying little sister, everything fades away replaced by a single thought. *Kill them all* Muscles snapped and popped as white-hot agony ran through his body, he cried out from the pain as it was worse than anything he's ever felt before. No whipping, No punch, No slap, or beating could compare to the pain he was feeling at that moment. He felt as if his body was trying to tear itself apart, his hands slammed down unto the floor leaving cracks as his cries soon ceased as his voice was replaced by a growl. As he stood there transformed he lets out a ferocious roar as he looked at the figure scrambling away from him. His eyes locked on the one that caused him the most pain, his blood-red eyes locking with his fearful brown one. The eyes of prey looking upon the predator, Kai's eyes glazed over as he stalked towards his prey, drool dripped from his fangs as he stalked towards him, enjoying the way how he scrambled away whimpering and shouting for help. Kai's heart soon beats at a steady pace as he looked at his prey, only one thought filled his mind as he looked at the figures scurrying away from him. * Kill them all*
