Happy Moments

I am awake because of the loud noise from my phone. I did not know that I was fall asleep beside my sisters. I answered the phone because Jam is calling. “Lyn we will go to our hang out place by 7 we will wait you at the terminal” “Alright! See you bye for now” I get up and go to the kitchen to prepare for our dinner. After I cooked dinner Papa is already home from work. We kiss Papa’s hand(traditional filipino culture). I prepare the table and we eat dinner. Mama is still sleeping at her room. I told Papa of what happened earlier. Papa just sigh and told us to just ignored it. While we are eating I ask Papa if I can go out tonight. He nodded but remind me to go home on time. After we eat dinner I go to my room and change. I wear a maong skirt and black shirt. I say bye to Papa and walk to the terminal. From afar I saw Jam Dianne and Jenny. “We will get a ride since we are all here” Jam said. After 30 minutes we already reach to our destination. When we get off from the tricycle we saw the boys are smiling on us. John stand up and give me a hug and a smack on my lips. I am blushing now because I am amaze on how showy he is when it comes to a relationship. We are now enjoying the moment together. They are all drinking beer while laughing at their stories. They are talking about the coming patron saint’s feast next month because there will be a basketball tournament and I heard that they will be joining as one team. “I think I need to talk to my girl privately” John said. “Bro I am just wondering what you wanted to tell to Lyn. Seems like you just want to have an intimate moment with her. Marco said. Everybody is laughing now. John guided me to stand and hold my hands we are now walking a few steps from where my friends seated. After that we stop by a little garden where theres a lot of plants. It seems like a mini park. We are now sitting on the grass. What happened earlier flash back in my mind and I decided to tell John about it. John put his head on my shoulder and I can feel his breath on my left ear. “John talk first, Babe seems like I miss you every hour I got addicted to you. Can I take you with me at home? I have my own room where we can stay. Hahahha I am laughing at what he said. “ Don’t say that, we are too young for that matter. In fact I have something to tell you.” He is now facing to me and look me in the eye. “ Babe I need to tell you this. You should be honest to me I may get hurt of what will be your decision but I will understand.” “ His eyes widened and he looks confuse. Is there something wrong?” “Babe I need to tell you this. You know what a lot of boys at my age tried to make fun at me some of them wanted to court me with bad intentions because of Mom. They told that I am not worth of the respect because I don’t have a reputation. My Mom is an alcoholic everyday she drinks a lot and always wasted. She gets into fight. She always put herself into trouble which made her famous because of the trouble she made almost every day. Our family is in big shame where people always have this thought that our family not worth of the respect. I don’t want you to get involve to us because you don’t deserve it. Now you know already I am giving you the freedom you deserve.” I did not notice that I am already crying. He is now holding my face and demanded me to look at him. He kiss me hard and I responded to his kiss. He is so good that makes me lost myself. Seems like I am travelling to another world and all I feel love, seems like electricity is shivering all over my body. The kiss lasted for a few minutes. I just got back to my senses when he stops and hug me tight. He is holding my face again with his both hands and we both look at each others eyes. “Why you wanted to give me my freedom? It is because your Mom is like that you are also like her. If those people treat you like s**t then I am not like them. You don’t know that you are my life and letting you go means death to me. I cannot live without you. Don’t ever think of doing that because of your family background because I really don’t care of what people said. I love you so much that I even thinking of marrying you soon.” I am crying again of what John said. It feels like I found a comfort in him. He hug me tight and tap my back. After a few minutes I compose myself and look at him. I smiled and said “Thank you Babe for accepting me even our life status is totally different. I promised that if time comes we will experience challenges I assure you that I will fight for our love.” I hug him tight and kiss him. Since it is my first kiss I don’t know how to do it but John guided me and I just go with the flow. After the ardent kiss we shared I already out of breath so I break the kiss while chasing my breath. I put my head on his chest and I heard that his heart beat so fast.

John is talking to me now. He wanted to have a quality time with me also on weekdays at day time because he wanted us to go to the Mall or eat in a simple restaurant or roam around just the two of us. And during weekends Saturday and Sunday night we will spend time with friends. I agree to his set up because I wanted both of us to have time for each other because that’s me and Michael don’t have in our relationship that’s why it won’t work. John ask me that we will go back to where our friends are drinking now. I can see that they are tipsy now. They are talking nonsense and laughing. John ask if I wanted to taste a beer even just for one shot. I declined because I don’t want to be like my Mom. John understand and just drink it. I look at my watch and notice that it is already 9:20pm. I told my friends that I need to go. John take me to where I can get a ride home and when there’s already a ride I bid goodbye to him and give me a kiss. I texted John when I am already at home.
