Chapter 41October 17th, Tuesday Evening I brought my books and laptop upstairs so that I could listen to Nana in case she woke. I didn't think that she would wake until late this evening and then probably only long enough to use the bathroom. If she didn't wake on her own I'd have to try and wake her up or she wouldn't be able to last the night. I wasn't going to explain to Mom why I had neglected Nana. I wasn't planning to tell her anything about Helen. Without Chuckles around I thought Nana would just be herself again and Helen would be banished to some dark recess of Nana's mind.
