This pain.
This pain and memory suddenly flashing made Vyrion's eyes widen.
Memories of a woman he didn't know and how they made a pact that looked so unlike him.
"Vyrion!" Vega called out anxiously, snapping Vyrion out of his shock, "are you okay?"
Vyrion slowly turned his head.
Vega...
Vyrion slowly rose to his feet assisted by Vega, "tell me, do you know a woman named Vordelia?"
Vega's face quickly brightened, "You remember something~?"
Remember?
So it's true that Vyrion forgot the woman named Vordelia? He nodded, "I just remember the first time we met."
"It doesn't matter! This is good for you~!” In a happy humming tone, Vega said, “I hope this isn't temporary. You can claim those memories.”
Apart from the memory of the precious Vordelia, it is also very personal to Vyrion.
Vyrion didn't respond. He understood why he said he knew what it was like to fall in love because the memory of the woman named Vordelia was the same as how he felt now for Corale.
He seems to fall in love at first sight without realizing it.
The problem with Vyrion is whether his love is reciprocated or not. It was strange that he had no memory of anything other than that even though their agreement was practically 'forbidden', “Tell me again, where is she now?”
Vega's face turned gloomy instantly making Vyrion regret asking.
“That…” Vega hesitated a bit, refusing to meet Vyrion's eyes, “she's somewhere else….”
Vyrion watched Vega's every whim, and it was clear that she was uncomfortable with the question. He decided not to bother anymore, ignoring his great curiosity because he didn't remember anything else after that first 'meeting', "I see," he said softly, almost in a whisper, "I hope she's okay."
Vega carved a smile that didn't reach her eyes, “I hope so.”
Something told Vyrion not to go any further. He closed his mouth tightly and approached Corale who had been watching silently for a long time, "Are you feeling better?"
"Uhm."
"Is there anything you want?" Vyrion asked softly.
“Um…” Corale was curious about the woman Vyrion mentioned earlier, but Vega's face, which looked very sad, didn't want to ask. This curiosity was more or less the same as when she had a mysterious attraction to him. Hard to shake off, “Oh!”
Suddenly, her cell phone on the nightstand rang loudly and filled the room.
Vyrion took the silver cell phone because it was close to him, “You have an interesting thing, Corale.”
"Eh?"
Is it possible that Vyrion doesn't know what a cell phone is?
Now that Corale thinks about it, she never saw Vyrion holding a cell phone, even when they went together to her father's grave, he didn't understand how to get on the bus. She had to ask the locals how to get on the bus. At first, she thought it was because he always rides a motorbike, now that he has magic powers like teleportation, she believes he uses it more often, so he doesn't understand taking public transportation, “This is a cell phone. You can message, call, and chat with your loved ones or friends.”
“Hm,” Vyrion mumbled with his eyes focused on the phone in Corale hand, “humans can make interesting things too.”
Corale let out a nervous smile. From the way Vyrion spoke, he said that he wasn't from the human race. She didn't want to think about what Vyrion was for now. She opened the message from a number she didn't recognize and gasped to find it was a message containing a photo of herself, what shocked her was the note under the pictures.
The lovely home you got there. Hope you'll take this childhood friend of yours.
That's what's written.
Without even thinking hard, Corale knew who the sender of this mysterious message was.
How?
How could Victor take a picture of her around the castle when Vega said she had used her powers to keep him from finding her?
"You are okay? Your face is pale,” Vyrion said worriedly.
Corale took a deep breath, realizing that her entire body was cold from the panic attack, showing how much of an influence Victor had on her. She looked down glumly, "I'm fine." She decided to lie so as not to worry everyone. She checked her other messages and one unread e-mail.
From her Mother and Gael.
Corale read her mother's message first. She was relieved to know that her mother was okay. A smile returned to her lips as she checked the photos sent to her. Her smile disappeared as she read the message from Gael.
How are you doing? Hope everyone in Oxford treats you well?
Gael.
Gael didn't ask anything even though Corale broke their promise.
Gael still cares for her despite how many times she disappoints him.
And even now, Corale had let him down again by choosing not to reply to his messages, checking her unread e-mails that turned out to be that she was accepted at Gabriel's chosen University.
How fast.
Registration will open tomorrow.
Gabriel would ask her to register tomorrow.
“You didn't send Gabriel and Ms. Amber to a strange place, right?” Corale asked.
“I sent them to your Father's house,” Vyrion replied.
"You don't think they realized something was wrong?" Corale was worried about Vyrion who was openly showing his strength other than her.
"I've taken care of that. Take it easy,” Vyrion explained, giving Corale a gentle caress on her cheek which only lasted a moment as she turned her head away from him. His heart immediately hurt seeing that, "Is my touch so uncomfortable for you?"
"Not that." Corale didn't mind that, it was something Vyrion fell in love with that was the problem, and since Vega was here, it was a good time to ask, "Do you want to explain now what happened, Vega?"
Vega gasped as if she didn't expect to be asked that question before a look of regret flashed in her brown eyes.
"Forgive me. I didn't know the effect would be like this," Vega began, "I got the truth potion from Altair in hopes of bringing out Vyrion's old demeanor."
Corale looks at her nervously.
Vyrion's old attitude? That means in front of her is the real Vyrion?
