When I entered the bathroom, I leaned against the door and looked up to stop my tears from falling. I stayed in that position for a few minutes, not moving even an inch and trying to empty my mind. That was one of the things we were taught during our training days. We did that to control our emotions and return to a normal state of mind.
After almost ten minutes of not moving, I decided to leave the bathroom. I was calmer now than earlier. And maybe by now, Axel had already announced his relationship with Cristia. I would go back to the party but wouldn't stay there any longer. I would just say goodbye to Pia and Aneth because they would definitely look for me if they couldn't find me.
