"Are you sure it's really okay for us to attend this party we're going to? Isn't it awkward? I'm sure it'll be full of rich people." Since Axel picked me up at home earlier, this is the third time I've asked him that. I'm worried that we might just be embarrassed at the party. I can handle any kind of situation if I'm alone. But if Axel is with me and he gets embarrassed in front of me, I don't know how I'll handle it.
Axel smiled, held my hand and squeezed it slightly. "Don't worry, Katherine. This isn't the first time I've attended these kinds of gatherings. I've met a lot of rich people, and they can't insult or belittle me. They're afraid of my boss."
"Just tell me if there are people who look down on you. I'll teach them a lesson."
