Chapter 4

    When we got to my apartment I let us in I saw Lilly sitting at the table with her small office lamp on reading a textbook. Lilly was in school to be a phycologist. She was a great listener and gave the best advise, it was the perfect career path. She looked up at us threw the top of her reading glasses

“ Ash you can't keep bringing your stalkers home.” She teased when she Nick

“Aww but this one is so cute”  I replied  pinching Nick's cheek. He grumbled and pushed my hand away

“Ill have you know that I saved her from a stalker.’’ He boasted walking to my fridge to raid.

“Wait seriously?’’ Lilly’s teasing smile turned serious and worried.

“ Yes so Id like for you to now refer me as Sir Nicholas as I am a humble  knight in shining armor!’’ he yelled smugly turning back to the fridge ‘’And why don’t you wenches ever have beer?!’’ I put my hand over his mouth

“if you wake up the twins I will personally find a beer to smash over your head.’’ I whispered to let him know he was being entirely too loud.

He licked my hand and at once I released him

“Bleh’’ He started to lick his own hand

“Ew you freak!’’ I squealed and wiped my hand on his shirt

“Shh Ayame! Don’t wake up the children!” he mocked

“You two are children” Lilly retorted, we both smiled at each other before turning to stick our tongues out at her

She rolled her eyes and sighed “So again what about this stalker?’’

My smile dropped I then shrugged “Just  some shifter I think? He imprinted on me or something . It couldn’t be worse timing to do that too right after Cole and I—" I stopped my self from continuing but they seem to get the idea or if Lilly didn’t  Nick sure did

“ Le gasp you did the dirty with the boss” Nick faked astonished

“Shut up, I know you saw this coming you too” I pointed my finger at Lilly who was also laughing. They never said anything but they always thought off hand remarks of how eventfully I was just going to give in. Again a girl has needs and Cole was literally a Viking God even Nick thought he was an attractive guy in a totally ‘hetero’ way of course.

“It was funny watching him hit on you for a year he would even grab the hottest chick in the club just to walk by you to see if you would notice” Nick started laughing

“Wait did he really?” I looked at him and saw all the memories of Cole walking by me with a women on his arm while I was working just to pass by me and let her go with a disappointed look on his face.

At this point I started laughing. That was crazy I can't believe he did that and I never noticed.

“Well at least you finally got some I wasn’t going to say anything but you've been pretty short fused lately” Lilly snorted “ I figured you just needed a release” she wiggled her eyebrows as if she said a clever joke. It was a dumb joke but she's right I did need a release but not a s****l one though I hadn’t been with anyone since Zach and most of that was forced. But no I need a magical release I haven't casted a single spell in a month and my magical energy was boiling inside threatening to boil over.

“yeah yeah I get I’ve been bitchy lately I’m sorry. My magic is overflowing and that needs to be released”

“So? Do a spell turn this soda into a beer” he handed me his soda can but I pushed it away

“can’t to anything until the full moon next week when I make another talesmen for me and the twins.” I pulled out the neckless with a small bag of herbs from under my shirt “ If I do magic while I’m wearing this then it won't work and everyone will know what I am”

He looked at it then back up to me his eyebrow raised

I don’t get it  both nick and Lilly thought

I sighed and rolled my eyes

“Everyone has a sent this hides mine and makes me smell like a human” I explained

“ooh’’ they said in now unison understanding Nick grabbed my bag and smelled it and made a sour face

“ Is that what we smell like?” he asked astonished    

I chuckled and nodded

“ Explains a lot” he sighed thoughtfully remembering all the times he was rejected by the vampire girls at the bar.

Lilly started to yawn and looked at her smart phone “Jebus guys its 4 am I geta go to bed “ she started packing up her books and pencils before turning off her office light

“you staying the night?” she asked looking at Nick

“yeah I guess” he shrugged looking I read the thought crossing both of there minds and I immediately threw my hands in the air

 “okay goodnight!” I yelled  I pushed Nick towards Lilly’s room and v lining to my room I’m shutting myself off so I don’t have to hear this. Gross. I mean good for them but gross.  I don’t need to know the details as there happening you know? That’s the disadvantages of this “gift” is no one around me has real privacy I cant help it no more then they can. I cant how ever hear the thoughts of Jasper and Amethyst my twins. I don’t know if its because they’re part fae like me or that their still babies and don’t have congical thoughts yet but its not like theirs’s anyone around to ask as far as I know were the last of the faes all of them either died or vanished.

I looked down at the sleeping babies in their crib they were twins But they looked nothing a- like except their eyes. They both have sapphire blue eyes like me. Amethyst had strawberry blonde hair and Jasper had dark chestnut hair and freckles scattered across his nose and cheeks while Amethyst had a dimple on her cheeks. They slept peacefully in there play pin holding each other's hand. I pulled out my phone to capture such a sweet moment. I decided that I was going to force myself to sleep so switched into Pj shorts, took off my bra and thigh highs and climbed into bed hoping that tomorrow would be uneventful unlike today.
