The thing that sucks about transportation spells is that your supposed to tell it where to take you. If you don’t then you end up somewhere random. Which in this case was the middle of the forest. I looked around and saw that the sun was starting to go down. If I don’t find my way out I’ll be stuck here for the night. I pulled out my phone it looks like I have two bars. I looked around again. Nothing but trees and rocks all looking exactly the same. I chewed on my lip instantly regretting storming off like that. Now I’m lost I can’t any spells to get me out of here. I sent a text to Lilly explaining what happened and ill be back late… probably tomorrow. I sat down bringing my knees to my chest, trying to think my way out of the situation. I crossed my arms over my knees and put my head down. I tried to remember spells that would lead me out of here. But the more I thought the more my mind kept drifting to Damian. His eyes…full of want and desire. His kiss…I subconsciously touched my lips still feeling the spark he left and sighed. He must want something. All men do. The sound of a twig snapping pushed me out of my thoughts. I stood up and looked around franticly I couldn’t hear anything… could have been and animal or… I heard a shuffle coming from the trees to my left and quickly took out my bag of herbs. Crap what was that boundary spell again?   “Bulla!” I yelled out throwing the herbs at my feet. I looked down and instead of melting into the ground like they were supposed to, they turned into bubbles rising and popping on the branches above me. Damn it. That’s what I get for not practicing defensive magic. “What was that supposed to do?” I heard the familiar voice coming behind. I turned to see Cole leaning against the tree hands in his jean pockets with a smug smile on his face.  I let out a breath I didn’t know I had held in. “its just you. I thought you were something dangerous.” I said relieved. He raised his brows” And what am I?” he asked. I smiled “Something creepy.” He scoffed and rolled his eyes while pushing himself off the tree and walked to me. “How’d you find me?” I asked looking up at him when he stopped a few inches away. “let’s just say I have a way of finding what’s mine.” He smiled mischievously I felt the anger rise up again. “HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU I AM. NOT. A POSSESION.” I yelled at him. why cant these guys get that? “No, you aren’t.” He pressed his hand to my cheek. “But that doesn’t mean that you wont be mine sooner or later.” He said smugly. I sighed and moved away from him. “I’m too tired to argue with you. Can’t you show me the way back?” I asked. His eyes glimmered as if an idea just shot into his head,” Absolutely. I’m an expert at reading the stars after all.” He boasted gesturing to the sky. I looked up instantly mesmerized by the celestial sight. The stars really are beautiful out here. Cols icy hand rapped around mine as he pointed to the big dipper. “All we have to do is fallow the handle on the pot. See how its slightly crocked? We just have to follow the path like that, and we’ll find the pack house.” He began walking not letting go of my hand. We walked in an awkward silence for a while the only sounds where the animals of the forest and the crunching of leaves under our feet. Cole still refuses to let go of my hand holding on to it firmly, but not enough to hurt me. As if he’s afraid if he let go then I would disappear. I noticed him glancing at me and smirking like I was the butt of an inside joke. I glared at him when ever he did. Looking around I would expect for thing to start looking familiar, but they wernt. “how long until we get there?” I asked. “get where?” he answered smirking. “to the pack house? I thought that’s where we where going.” My patience with men today are getting awfully thin. “I never said that.” His smirk widened “I told you how we would get back not that we where going back right away.” I clinched my jaw as he dragged me along and I attempted to shake off his grip on my hand. He just chuckled at my unsuccessful attempts. “Where the hell are you taking me then.” I snapped at him, Finally. “You’ll see.” He sang while winking at me. I huffed knowing that I’m not going to win this game he’s playing with me. So, I shuffled behind him making it harder for him to keep ahold of my hand at the pace he was going. Eventually he stopped and looked at me. “Why are you being so difficult?” he asked. “Hmm let’s see it could be that YOUR’RE KIDNAPPING ME?” He smiled at me and leaned close “You want to see me kidnap you? Ill show you kidnapping.” “what?” before I can finish my thought, he scooped me up and threw me over his shoulder like a sac of potatoes. “Let me down!” I screamed kicking his chest and punching his back. “No, I’m kidnapping you remember?” he teased. I growled at him and started kicking my legs around. “Cole, I swear if you don’t put me down ill….” Before I can finish my sentence, he spanked me! “Hush now we’re almost there. You’re going to love it I promise.”  he said patting my butt. “Doubt it.”  I mumbled while crossing my arms. A few minutes later he dropped me too my feet in front of a large circular building With the ceiling made of glass and giant telescope sticking out the side. “You brought me to an observatory?” I asked exasperated. He chuckled while tenderly grabbing my hand again. “Call me selfish but the way you light up when you look at stars beets any celestial sight I’ve ever seen. I just wanted to see how it would look if you saw them up close.” He grazed my hand with his lips.  I looked back at the building a wide smile fighting its way to my otherwise still annoyed face. I glanced back at him chewing my lip. He stood there smiling while still holding my hand to his mouth. Finally I returned his smile and pilled him towards the entrance excitedly. The inside was void of people, perfectly quiet. There where short pillars holding various colorful balls scattered around the room. Upon closer inspection I realized these where the planets of our solar system arranged in order descending from the sun. Cole pulled me towards the stars to the observatory room. There was a large red couch in front of the telescope with a bucket of ice and pink rose’  on the black table beside it.   “so, how long have you planned this?” I asked casually checking out the wine. “since this morning. I Glimmer some locals to set this up but then I heard you took off with the mutt so I went to go find you.” He smiled taking the bottle from my hand and popping the quart. I raised my brow. “So you were just going to steal me from my date?” I asked. His smile grew more mischievous “Absolutely.”  I rolled my eyes at him and took the glass of wine he just poured. “what no toast?” he chuckled. “and what would we toast to?” I asked. “ My inevitable victory at winning your heart. “ “pfft yeah right.” I rolled my eyes again and took a swig of the sweet wine.  Cole sighed and set down his glass, then snatched mine from me. My brows knotted in confusion but before I could say anything my lips were snatched by his. What’s with everyone kissing me today? I pushed hole away and sighed. “You two don’t want me. It’s my power, it’s my blood. It’s the possibility of you becoming the strongest that you want. But you have no interest in my kids. Who I really am outside Crucifix, is a mother and not a lot more then that.” “That’s a lie.” He said, frankly. I looked at him with a raised brow. “All of that is a lie actually.” He said as if it was a matter of fact. “You think I helped you so much simply because you where a beautiful woman? No,  it was because you where a devoted mother. Because I see the spark in you eye and most of all because you remind me so much of my wife.” He admitted solemnly. I stared at him with my mouth ajar. “you’re married?” I asked astonished. He sighed “I was. She died before I turned, giving birth to my twin sons who were killed by the harsh winter of Norway. They where three months. About the age you’re tots where when I first met you. That day I thought I saw a ghost. The moment I looked into your glowing sapphire eyes I knew that I had to have you near me.” He chuckled at the memory and looked into my eyes again. “So, I gave you a job, in hopes to get close to you, and every time you shot down my advances, I wanted you more. And then when you finally gave in I was hooked. I feel in love with you Ayame not your blood or your powers.” He smiled genuinely I had a hard time not wanting to believe him. his words left me stunned. Never in my life did I think I would hear him be so honest. Somehow this stupid vampire got me to care for him. care about weather or not he’s feed properly, care, if he’s hurt, and about his all-around wellbeing.   I couldn’t say anything to him. so, I kissed him hoping he’d understand what I wanted to say.
