Back at home, Kelly couldn't wait for Freya to dress up as she was so eager to meet William. She then convinced Freya that she and Andrea needed to get front row seats and since Freya wasn't yet ready, they wouldn't be able to wait for her. Of course, Freya agreed and they left...
William was just leaving to greet some of his old colleagues who were also in attendance, when Kelly noticed Freya smiling broadly and hurrying towards them with so much excitement. She must have been impressed with William's good look. Who wouldn't?
"You have to introduce me right now?" Freya quickly chimed in while still checking out William despite the distance.
"Wait, whose guy is he? You? Andrea?" Freya added again as she swiftly looked at their faces. Andrea didn't say a word, instead, she just laughed and turned to Kelly. Freya got the gist immediately. William was Kelly's!! He's hers!!!...
"Hmmmn... Good job sweet sis..." Freya replied as she threw her hand in Kelly's face for a high-five which she shyly gave.
"Well, technically, he's not mine." Kelly chimed in. That was the truth, he wasn't hers but she didn't mean the words. She only said it so she wouldn't look desperate. She has always seen Wiliam as hers ever since she set her eyes on him.
"You mean, he's not yours yet... Cause the William I know and just saw right now is head over heels in love with you." Andrea finally voiced out.
"Really? I don't think so, though." Kelly replied with a carefree attitude but she was screaming and jumping for joy inwardly.
"He's coming, he's coming. Don't look. Make sure you introduce me." Freya quickly cautioned them while they also adjusted and pretended like they were not just debating over him.
"Who do we have here?" William asked with a broad smile. He was referring to Freya.
"Uhm... This is Freya, my elder sister. Freya, this is William, my bo... Uhm... Our friend." Kelly quickly introduced them while also trying to keep her cool and not ruin things even before it's started.
"Hi, Freya, it's so nice to finally put a face to your name. I've heard so many things about you." He replied as he extended his hand to Freya for a handshake.
"Good things I hope?" Freya asked with sarcasm while the others laughed.
"Good things, of course... Only good things." He asserted.
"It's my pleasure meeting you then. You look really nice." Freya chimed in.
"Ohhh, finally, someone is complimenting the hard work I put into looking this good. Thanks, good ma'am." Wiliam replied while taunting Kelly and Andrea playfully in the process.
Seeing Freya and Andrea, the two most important people in her life get so along with William made Kelly more happy. She wouldn't want to be with someone they don't like or approve of. Freya especially...
That was the beginning of a sweet love relationship between the two. William asked Kelly out, she accepted and they started dating. That was six years ago...
***Present***
"Kelly!!! Kelly!!!" Andrea called out while she shook Kelly back from her deep thoughts. They found a seat safe from third ears and eyes but as Kelly was about to sit, she felt a wave of dizziness and would have fallen face down if not for the timely intervention of Andrea, who quickly grabbed her and helped her to the seat.
"Uhn uhn... Hold that thought..." She quickly interrupted Kelly before she could speak. She then proceeded to the front. She thanked the guests for honouring the celebrant with their presence and then ended the party. There was no point going on with the party when the celebrant already left and the girlfriend also not in a good mood.
With everyone left and just a few hanging around, Andrea made her way back to Kelly, who was now shedding hot tears. She didn't have to say a word. From her outburst, Andrea already got the hint of what it could be. She didn't ask her either. Slowly, she sat beside her and pulled her in for a warm embrace. Kelly held her tightly as she really needed the hug. Andrea caressed her hair while at it.
"You'll be fine." Andrea whispered to her.
"No, I won't." Kelly let out as she sat up and explained everything that happened while left Andrea in total shock. She wasn't expecting that at all. She thought the two probably had a fight and knowing Kelly well enough, she breaks down at any hurt, fight or misunderstanding.
"This is just so unbelievable..." Andrea replied with so much surprise expressed on her face.
"A breakup is the last thing I thought this was all about... Are you sure you're not just overreacting or probably misunderstood him? I'm sure William doesn't mean whatever that is literally." She said further while trying to console Kelly.
"You guys are good, aren't you? So, why would he want space away from you?" She added with much curiosity. She found it so hard to believe that the same William she knows, who loves Kelly so much and with all his heart would wake up one day and want to be away from her. He loves her and shows it too.
"I really hope I misunderstood him too." Kelly replied slowly while she took a deep breath and then rose to her feet. What better way to clear the air and be sure if she misunderstood him or not than to go home and speak with him? She wasn't going to get answers from Andrea, who is just as confused if not more.
Andrea insisted on going with her because of the state of mind she was in but Kelly refused. This is between her and him. And to settle things, they both need to bare it all and they might not be able to do such in Andrea's presence.
Andrea reasoned with Kelly and agreed not to go with her but she made sure Kelly promised to drive safe and handle things with caution at home. Kelly did and they both drove off in different directions.
