"You saw how she cried her pain but never how I bleed my agony."   Klau's Pov   "Klau, I'm sure that you'reaware that today is your daughter's seventh birthday, you should be there." Caellum mumbled as a matter of fact before he seated himself on my office's sofa.   Wala sa sariling napasandal na lang ako sa 'king swivel chair at naihilamos ang palad ko dahil sa labis na frustration.   Of course I am fully aware of that, Allison is throwing a party for her—our daughter on the mansion. It's just that I can't see myself celebrating with them.   "Raile's looking for you. Given that you don't love and  hated her mother, wag mo naman sanang idamay 'yong anak mo." I shut my eyes in anguish and pisted my hand.   "She isn't my child —," "Hanggang kailan mo 'yan paniniwalaan? You've proven your instinct wrong. Ipina-DNA test mo na 'yong bata at nagmatch 'yon sa'yo. She deserves to feel that you love her, she's trying to please you with everything just to get the attention that on the first place she doesn't need to beg for." I flashed a sarcastic smile and gave him a slow clap.     "If only you know how I feel." Napangisi ako at buong galit na inihagis ang bote ng rum sa may dingding ng opisina. Nagdulot nang ingay ang pagkabasag nun. Mapakla lang s'yang napangiti  do'n bago n'ya ibinalik ang tingin  sa 'kin.   "I do not know what you've been going through but I can feel your daughter's pain. Naalala mo ba? Na ganyan rin tayo trinatrato ni Dad dati. I remember you swearing that you'll never make your child feel unloved caused it sucks...but looks like the fruit doesn't fall far from its tree. Katulad na katulad ka ni Leonardo." Aniya saka ako tinalikuran.   "Greta." I called my secretary through the telephone.   "It's late but can you do something for me? I need you to buy me a birthday present for Raileigh." Inis na naikuyomos ko sa 'king palad ang birthday invitation n'ya sa saka 'yon itinapon papunta sa basurahan.   Kung hindi lang s'ya anak ni Allison, baka nagawa ko pang mahalin kahit papaano ang batang 'yon.   Halos mag-iisang oras rin ang lumipas bago bumukas ang pintuan at pumasok doon si Greta bitbit ang paper bag na may disenyo ng iba't ibang princess character.   "This is a limited edition barbie doll that was released by a famous toy store. It's a trend, Sir." Pormal n'yang sinabi.   Tinanguan ko lang s'ya saka ako tumayo mula sa 'king swivel chair at kinuha sa kanya 'yon.  Dire-diretso nang naglakad ako palabas ng opisina.   It's passed 9 in the evening when I arrived at our mansion. Akala ko'y tulog na si Raile kaya gano'n na lamang ang gulat ko nang maabutan s'yang nakapangalumbaba sa couch na halatang inaantok na.   A joyous smilemade it's way to her lip as she laid her eyes on me. Dali-dali s'yang bumaba sa couch at patakbong pumunta sa 'kin. With her short hands she managed to pull me for a warm hug.   "Is that for me?" Nakangiti n'yang tanong sa 'kin habang sinisipat ang dala kong paper bag. Tumango ako sa kanya at iniabot'yon.   "Oh my gosh! I love this." She chirped happily as she pull the barbie's box out of the paper bag.   "Raileigh, what's that?" Tumayo ako nang maayos at pinasadahan ng tingin si Allison na ngayon ay nasa tabi na ng anak n'ya.   "Mom look! Daddy bought me this." She murmured. Allison gave her an endearing smile and kissed her forehead.   "May pasok ka pa bukas baby, you should sleep now." Without her eyes leaving me she called Raile's nanny to go and tuck her daughter for bed.   "Klau!" May pagbabanta sa boses na tinawag n'ya ko nang subukan ko s'yang lampasan na lang.   "Gano'n ka ba talaga kabusy na ni hindi mo man lang nagawang sumilip sa party ng anak mo? You're being unbelievable!" She ranted.   The corner of her lips twitched as I gave her a serious look. "You wanted to have a child,  I only gave you what you want even if I don't want too. Kaya h'wag kang umasang magpapakatatay ako kay Raileigh dahil umpisa pa lang alam mo ng wala na 'kong planong bumuo ng pamilya kasama ka." I blurted out through gritted teeth.   "Then whom do you plan on building a family with? Iyong kriminal na si Ressee?" Nang hindi na 'ko makapagpil ay dinamba ko s'ya at mariing sinakal. Paulit-ulit n'yang tinapik ang mga kamay ko.   Struggling for air. She managed to get away from me by pushing me with her remaining strength.   I should really claim that I am devil for she's making me live in hell. I f*****g hate her guts...everything.   Masuyo n'ya 'kong nginitian. Animo'y hindi nadala sa nangyari kani-kanina lang.   "Pero bumuo pa rin tayo ng pamilya, aminin mo na kasi sa sarili mo na kahit anong tapang mo sunod-sunuran ka lang sa 'kin. I'm sure Renaissance will love you even more once she finds out that you married me so I won't put her behind the jail's cold bar, too bad you can't find her." Aniya sa nakakainis na tono saka n'ya ko tinalikuran.   Fuck this life!
