Chapter 6

When everything stopped moving so fast, Elizabeth realized that they were back in the cave. It didn't look like it did when they left. It was decorated with streamers, and there were balloons everywhere. There was also a banner hung that said 'Welcome' on it. All the males were smiling and holding drinks in their hand. "Welcome to our world, Elizabeth. We are happy to see that you and Alec work well together." Damien said as he raised his glass to make a toast to Alec and Elizabeth. Everyone also raised their glasses to make a toast. "As well as welcoming to you our ranks Alec and I have discussed that you will also be this areas number third. This means that you will help Alec in training. Of course, it took a lot of convincing to get Alec to agree to this. But it is worth it. You will be an excellent 3rd." Damien said. As he announced it, another voice rang out, "What the hell do you mean she is the third. I am the f*****g third there has never been a female third." A man yelled as he pushed his way through the crowd. He stood in front of Elizabeth and growled at her.

Elizabeth stared at the male in front of her. He was mad because she had just taken his spot in the enforcers. "If you think that you deserve the third position, then I will be glad to fight you for it. That is if you're brave enough to go into a fighting ring with me." Elizabeth teased. The male growled, "Who would be scared to enter the ring with a weak female?" He asked. "Well, Matt was, and that was a fear well understood," Elizabeth growled. "Matt was weak anyways. He has been the lowest member here since he was transferred 20 years ago. No matter what we tried, he was still fragile. The fact that you also allowed him to connect with you means that you are not fit to sit in the third position. The man known as Josh said as he stared at Elizabeth with contempt.

"If you're so sure that I am weak, then allow is to enter the ring and see the strongest. The loser will agree to leave the winner alone, and the winner gets the third seat." Elizabeth said, putting her face into his. "If the little girl thinks that she can take me in the ring, I will be glad to put her in her place," Josh growled. He then swiftly started walking toward the ring, and Elizabeth quickly followed. When he arrived, Josh turned around and looked back at her. Elizabeth was about to climb into the ring when Alec grabbed her arm. "You don't need to prove anything to anyone. No matter what you will always be the third." "If I don't prove myself now, then no one will respect me. Just like dogs, you have to show who is boss." Elizabeth said as she cracked her knuckles. She shook his hand off and then jumped into the ring.

Alec couldn't help but look nervous. Yeah, Elizabeth is reliable; but she was still his precious mate. Alec cared deeply for her, even if she was not allowing her feelings to be known. He knew that she was attracted to him, and he loved her fighting spirit. Of course, he was not looking forward to telling his parents to cancel his engagement to Sophia. Sophia like him was a pureblood, and ever since they were little, they were told the two would be given 500 years to find their mates, and if they didn't want, then the engagement would continue, and they would be mated. It was only a few days away, and he knew the ball was his parent's way of helping him, but since Alec found Elizabeth, he knew that there was no other. As he was about to watch the fight, someone came up from behind him, and he heard a female voice. "Alec sweetie, when are we going to bed? It is nearly 500 years, and I am ready to become your mate."

Elizabeth was about to fight the previous third when something caught her attention. A woman was hanging all over Alec like a slut. She growled with possessiveness then turned to Josh. "Excuse me for one minute." She said. Elizabeth quickly walked to the side of the ring and jumped back over the barrier on the side of the ring. "What exactly do you think you're doing to Alec?" She asked in a strangely sweet voice. The woman looked up at her and said, "Hey little human, go somewhere else. This is my mate, not yours. Go somewhere else you little slut." Elizabeth saw nothing but red. "How dare you speak to me like that, but there is one small problem with that statement," Elizabeth said as she grasped the woman wrists. Elizabeth quickly threw her off of Alec then cuddled up near him, slowly revealing the mark that was on her neck.

Alec was surprised by his little mate. She threw Sophia off of him when she surprised him by hanging on him. Then she proudly showed her mark for everyone to see. He was about to say something when Sophia stood up. "How dare you, you little b***h. Alec is mine; we have been engaged for 500 years. You must have cast some spell..." Sophia yelled. "Sophia, that is enough. Elizabeth did no such thing as a spell; she is my true mate, and if you cannot accept that then leave now. I will no longer listen to you slander her. She is my mate, and no matter what we have already marked one another; therefore, there is nothing you can do about it. Kill her, and you kill me." Alec growled glaring at Sophia. "We are nothing more than childhood friends now. Our engagement is called off, and no matter what no one can change that." He spat as he hugged Elizabeth closer to himself.

Sophia was about to say something when another male voice rang out, "Sophia stop doing that your fiancé." The voice said. Alec turned and saw his parents standing there. "Father, mother." He said quietly. "Alec, let go of that female and return to your fiancé. We all know it is too late for you to find her give up quietly and let go of the whore." His father said. "Whore... w***e??? How dare you call me a f*****g w***e? I am no f*****g w***e, I am Alec's mate, and even if you try to tear us apart, you will lose us both." Elizabeth yelled from the cage that was Alec.

"Relax my little kitten they will never be able to separate us." Alec murmured, moving his head into her neck and breathing deeply to catch her scent. "Alec, how could you do that with another woman in front of your fiancé? Stop touching that little human immediately." His mother scolded as she watched him with some contempt. "I don't care if you are my parents. My little kitten is my mate, and I am not giving her up until the day I die. Mom, Dad, the curse it's over we can finally find our mates, all of us." Alec said, trying to plead with his parents. "The curse isn't over, and we still have yet to hear of another who had found their mate. You and she will be separated. Then you and Sophia will continue the line and have children." Alec's father Dave said.

When Elizabeth heard the words Children and Sophia in the same sentence, something in Elizabeth snapped. "How can you be so cruel? Open your eyes, you senile old man. I don't care who you are Alec is my mate, and to my last breath, I will fight to keep him. I may not be pureblooded like your little skank over there, but I am still the one made for Alec, and he was made for me." Elizabeth said glaring at the three. She noticed the females shiver in fright, and an evil smile crossed her lips. "I see you are afraid of me... Well, you should be." She said

Alec's day went from good, to even better first, she openly was showing her mated mark off, then secondly she stood up when his parents didn't believe him. Finally, she was all over him, which was making him extremely happy. It was taking everything he had not to pick her up and take her to their room. He turned to his parents. "She is my mate, and everyone else here agrees with me. The curse is over, and I refuse to mate Sophia. Elizabeth is my mate, and tonight we are making it official wither you like it or not." Alec said as he hugged Elizabeth closer. "Alec reconsiders, she is just a human after all." His mother Amy said. "No mother she is not just a human, a half breed is rare, but since we bit each other, there is no separating us without killing us," Alec said. "How could you mark this little w***e? She is nothing but a hindrance in our happiness." Sophia said with a creepy smile. "Sophia stop talking about Elizabeth like that. She is your future queen, and if anyone of you disrespects her once more, then I will hurt you." Alec growled. "If you also reject her as your daughter-in-law then I will give my position up, I am sure that my men would enjoy me staying here instead of me disappearing somewhere." He added glancing at his parents.

"You cannot give your position up; you are the only heir we had. I refuse your attempt to remove yourself from this position." Dave yelled at him. "I would rather give up my position than my mate. She is the world to me, and if you force us apart, it will only kill us." Alec growled back glaring at his father. "She has brainwashed you, and I will end her spell on you and give you back to your true mate," Dave growled glaring at the female in Alec's arms. He jumped towards the two, but before he could yank the female out of Alec's arms, she shoved Alec away to protect him. Dave watched as the female then turned and started to fight him. He was surprised that she was matching him blow for blow. She even managed to get a couple of hits in. When he jumped away from her, he felt his cheek, and when Dave removed his hand, he saw blood on his hand. He looked back at her, and there wasn't a single mark on her. "How is that possible I know I cut you once or twice?" He said as he watched her in amazement.

"I may be female, but I can still fight well," Elizabeth answered as she watched the man in front of her pant with exhaustion. "I trained myself because there was no one whom I could rely on. Alec saved me, and I guess you can call the rest history. I learned how to trust someone over three days. He has shown me so much in such a short time, and if I were to be separated from him now, then my life wouldn't have any more meaning." She said as she looked back at Alec. Dave watched as the two shared something between the two of them. He saw the genuine love shining in their eyes and recoiled in surprise. "Is it possible these two are actual mates? If that's the case, then why after so long has the curse been lifted." He thought as he watched them. "I accept this union. Alec keeps your mate happy. Sophia, you are no longer Alec's fiancé return to your home and hope that you find your mate soon. The curse is finally gone." Dave said as he turned around.

Alec looked surprised. His father never agreed to anything, and he did not expect him to accept it so quickly. Alec expected a big fight that would end with his father finally agreeing. As he looked at his father with surprise, he was suddenly tackled to the ground. He looked up, and on top of him was Elizabeth smiling. "We did it, Alec." She said happily. He was about to answer when he felt her lips on his. He was surprised at first, but right as she was about to end this kiss, he suddenly deepened it. She was surprised but was accepting.

Dave watched the couple on the ground when his mate walked up to him. "I am surprised you allowed them to be together after all we had an agreement with Sophia's family," Amy said. "Yes we had an agreement, and if one of them found their mate before 500 years, then the agreement is broken. He was cutting it close, but he found her, and that is something that I cannot keep them apart; otherwise, I will do nothing but kill them." Dave said as he watched the couple.

Alec finally broke the kiss, then stood up with Elizabeth in his arms. "I am sorry, everyone, but it is time that we go back to our room. We will see you all in the morning." He said as he quickly exited the room, ignoring all the catcalls from the men. And the playful joked from his parents. As he left, there was one gaze that he never noticed. Sophia was glaring at the two of them as they went. "How dare she take Alec from me. I was his for 500 years then that little hussy showed up and took him from me. No matter what she will pay for my suffering." She thought as she continued to glare at them.
