Alex was prepared to leave Elizabeth there in safe hands. The second that she started crying into Alec's chest, her resolve began to break. Never before had he seen her like this. She always held her sadness inside, and sure he could feel it through their bond, but never before has she been so willing to show everyone how sad she was. Alec could quietly feel the angry states of every male in the area. And he couldn't blame them. She was essential to so many, and here, Alec was making her cry. Alec tried to pull her off of him quietly, but the second he decided to make a move "No, please don't, please don't leave me alone. If you leave me here, then I don't know what I will do. Without you, everything is meaningless." Elizabeth cried as she hugged him even tighter.
"Angel..... I don't plan on leaving you alone now. Together the two of us can prepare for this little trouble maker." Alec said as he gently patted Elizabeth's not yet swollen stomach. "Is it me your seeing or the baby that you are seeing?" Elizabeth asked, looking up at Alec. With that statement, the whole cave was silent. No one had heard this argument between the two and were shocked that she had been thinking like that. No one stopped her when she broke away from Alec. Everyone just stared as she quickly disappeared out of the cave.
After Elizabeth had said that she was ashamed by what she said, detangling herself from Alec quickly, she walked quickly out of the cave — not allowing anyone to stop her. Without stopping, she made it back to her old apartment. The key she had worked, and the second she entered her cat, Zeus returned from a hunt. Noticing her Zeus immediately ran over and asked to be picked up. Elizabeth bent down and picked Zeus up and carried him over to the couch. He was purring non-stop. "I'm sorry Zeus I know I haven't been home, but there was just a lot going on. You missed mommy, didn't you?" Elizabeth said as she sat down on the couch.
Zeus was happily curled up on Elizabeth's lap. As she stroked him, he couldn't help but look up at her quietly smiling. "Zeus I don't know what to do anymore. Sure I feel a connection to Alec as in I love him, but the way he treats me, it's almost like I am a young girl instead of his mate. It makes me so mad at times and sad as well. There are times when I want to scream and give everything up. Even the baby that is growing in my stomach. The baby is the reason why he needs to be overprotective. But I am not a little girl. I hurt when he treats me like that. Perhaps now is the perfect time to go and spend a little time for me. Zeus, mommy is going to take a trip to the cabin, do you want to come?" Elizabeth asked, looking down at the cat. Zeus meowed in agreement and watched as Elizabeth quickly got her things together.
Alec sighed; he had decided to give Elizabeth a few hours to relax before he went to collect her. The glares were getting intolerable, and he was about ready to beat up the next guy who walked by him and glared at him. As he sighed for the umpteenth time, someone's shadow blocked the light. Alec looked up to see Damien standing in the light, looking down at Alec with an unreadable face. "Alec, I think it is about time to go and find her. I can tell your trying to hold your emotions in, but everyone can tell you about ready to destroy someone. The last time you looked that pissed, you almost killed several warriors. We know you are nervous about leaving her alone, but right now you have to show her so how much she truly means to you. Go get her Alec." Damien encouraged Alec. Without another word, Alec stood up and quickly disappeared from the cave. Damien smiled then whispered, "Truly Elizabeth was a blessing for everyone. The first person whose life she is going to change is my own life.
I look forward to the next 20 years." With that, Damien too disappeared.
Alec quietly arrived at Elizabeth's old apartment. The lights weren't on, and he figured that she was asleep. Quietly sneaking into the studio, Alec made his way to the bedroom, and when he got in that room, he immediately noticed the bed was empty. Trying not to freak out, he looked around the room to see a sign of anyone else. Finding none, he walked back out into the living room and finally noticed the note that was sitting on the coffee table. Making his way over to the coffee table he picked the letter up and read it "Alec since I know you'll be coming after me eventually, I decided to leave you a note. Don't worry, and I wrote this note out of my own free will. No one has taken me. I need some space I'm traveling to a remote area where my phone won't work nor will I have any Internet. I don't know what to do, right now. Don't come looking for me. Eventually, I will be able to show my face again once I finally get my feelings in order. Sincerely Elizabeth." The note read. Crumpling the letter in his hand, Alec looked out of the window up at the full moon. "No matter what my angel, I will find you. I know you said you wanted space. However, both are too important for you to be alone." Alec whispered as he ripped the note in half. Letting go of the paper, it fluttered to the ground and right as it touched the ground. A wind suddenly picked up, and the note followed Alec as he launched himself out the opened window in search of his mate.
