Chapter 14

When Ben saw Elizabeth hanging by her wrists, the anguished cry that was ripped from his lips surprised everyone in the room. "Elizabeth, are you alright?" He asked, immediately rushing to her side and unlocking the chains on her wrist. As Elizabeth fell forward, Ben quickly caught her and supported her. "Ben, what are you doing that is the Dark One we caught," John said, pulling a knife out. "You two are complete idiots. This is my little sister Elizabeth, and she isn't mated to a dark one, but Alec." Ben growled gently picking his sister up. Both men looked so surprised at the mention of his name. However soon they recovered. "That is impossible, the one who put her on our trail was Alec's mate Sophia," Jacob spoke up.

As soon as Elizabeth heard that name, her anger grew so high. "How could you believe her? Did you see her mating mark? Didn't you learn anything?" Elizabeth yelled at them. "Why the hell are you yelling at us?" John asked. "I'm yelling at you because Sophia is not Alec's mate, I am, and I am carrying his child," Elizabeth answered angrily. Ben looked back at Elizabeth, "You are pregnant, Elizabeth?" He asked, "Yeah, I am, but you know what, those two threatened my baby and me, so no guarantee what I will do to them if you let me go." She growled

Ben quickly left the interrogation room, and as he walked upstairs, many looked at her with a look of complete hatred. "Why the hell are you taking a dark one out of the room without killing her?" One follower yelled. There were mummers of an agreement to that statement. Right as Ben was about to say something, Sophia entered the warehouse, and everyone eagerly looked at her with a fondness thinking she was Alec's mate. As soon as Elizabeth saw Sophia, she scrambled out of Ben's arms and landed on Sophia. "You stupid b***h, this is your entire fault, you put my baby at risk, you put Alec at risk you put me at risk. Do you realize the severity of your crimes?" Elizabeth yelled at her. Ben was about to pick Elizabeth off Sophia when Sophia yelled back. "Do you realize that I spent 450 or so years waiting for him to claim me... Then you came along and ruined everything. Alec is my only reason for living, and if I can't have him, then killing you would be just as good." With that last statement, Sophia thrust her fingernails that she had grown long enough to make them claws at Elizabeth. Elizabeth quickly dodged, performing a few backflips at the same time. When she stopped, she looked at Sophia.

"I apologize for what I have to do now," Elizabeth whispered, launching herself forward. As quickly as she jumped, her hand reached into Sophia's chest, slowly extracting her heart and burning it. As Elizabeth watched the heart burned. Sophia's anguished cries rang out as her own body burned. Once the heart became ashes, her body too turned to ashes and Elizabeth closed her eyes and whispered. "May you find peace in the next world. Please find the one whom you were meant to share your life in the next life." Once the ashes blew out of her hand, then she fell to her knees and let and anguished cry out. The tears flowed freely down her face, and she cried for her first female friend. Ben looked around the room than announced, "Do you see? My sister is no Dark One; we all know that a Dark One cannot show emotion like this."

All of the people who were in the room immediately started to whisper. Ben ignored them and then walked over to the crying Elizabeth. Gently he pulled Elizabeth to her feet. As Ben slowly led her through the crowd, he could see all their curious gazes. They all knew about his sister and how he did his best to hide her from this life. When he came to an empty room, Ben made Elizabeth sit down on the couch. "I will call Alec, and he will come and get you. You won't believe how worried he was about you." Ben said gently sitting by her on the couch. "He was worried?" She asked. "Oh sister, he looked horrible. He looked gaudy, and he was super worried about you, and the baby. He was not even willing to punch me back after I punched him. Elizabeth, to me, you are my precious little sister. So seeing the man whom you picked like this truly shows me that he loves you. Seeing that makes me the happiest and proudest man in the world." Ben said, grasping her hands in his own.

Elizabeth looked up at Ben then said "I only chose whom I thought was right, but as far as I knew I did not have a family which meant that there was no one whom I have ever had to impress in my life. Meeting you like this has made me realize that no matter what I was never truly alone. But now I am creating my own family, and I am happy about this." "Yeah, I could never truly leave you alone, I made sure you had everything you needed growing up. It is what mom and dad would have wanted. I am sure that they are looking down on us smiling at what we both are accomplishing right now." Ben said, hugging her.

"So how did I not know about this place? I recognized James from some of the class that I took to defend myself. Surely you have a connection to that hmm?" Elizabeth asked, still wrapped in her brother's arms. "Yeah, Lucas the master at that gym he sometimes does some missions for us. When the murders started in your area, I sent you the flyer and told Lucas that I would pay for your lessons." Ben said. Elizabeth pulled back slightly, "I thought you weren't supposed to have contact with me?" She asked. "oh, I wasn't doesn't mean that I couldn't keep tabs on you and know where you were at the time." Ben said, giving a slight smile. That was when Ben felt something hit his arm. "That was for lying to me, but this is for helping me throughout the difficult times," Elizabeth said, gripping her brother tighter.
