I could feel my heart start sink as I watched them bring the bodies closer. The alpha stood before me his eyes filled with sorrow. " Sorano along with the ten warriors we lost two of out best beta's this pack has ever seen. Your father Richard and your brother Casper have been taken from us too soon. I'm so sorry for your loss..." He said gently to me as my world froze. The tears came running out as I clenched my hands over my heart as the most heart-wrenching scream came out from me. Two days later we had the send off to honor those who had fallen. Our alpha had everything set up for the grieving families. We all nodded as we waiting for thw moon. Embar my wolf perked her ears up when she heard qe would be goimg on a run. It was the first time she seemed to cheer up since the attack. The moon hit its peak and we lit our bonfires. "Goodbye father....goodbye Casper. We'll meet again someday..." I spoke softly as I lit each of the bonfire's. Once done we face Alpha William who began to shift into his wolf. His wolf had black fur with hints of grey by his ears and his eyes are an icy blue and he was huge like all alpha are. Once he completed his shift he nodded for us to follow suit. I let Ember take over as my body began to crack as my legs, arms, back started taking in it new form. My face now had a snout and my body was covered in a fiery red fur and my eyes were now piercing green. 'Now follow me' the alpha said through the mind link and he took off. He was serious this time. His son Kane was off at college and had at least one more year or so left. Ember was excited to be give such an honor but I was worried of failing. "Only till we find his prefect beta?" I said meekly and he nodded. Signing I agreed to take on my father post. Oh how my life will change from here.
