Kaden’s POV

I woke up grunting angrily with the sun rays hitting my eyes, “who’d opened my curtains so early in the morning?” My question was answered when my door burst open revealing my troublesome little sister Saya Who had her usual menacing smile on her face. “Did you forget how to knock now?” I said while getting up to walk to my bathroom with a unamused look on my face “Good morning to you too big bro, hope you had a good night, of course you did after all the trouble you got into last night who wouldn’t right? Our future alpha how does it feel to be so popular huh? Mom and dad will be so pleased when they get back tomorrow” She said with that smile still playing on her face mixed with a little sarcasm.

“ I actually slept great Ya, hope you slept well too” I said with a smile on my face, Now get out I need to get dressed for school and don’t even think I’m driving you today, get Robert to do that I’m already late” I said walking into and closing the bathroom door. My sister Saya didn’t need to remind me about last night and how things got totally out of hand at Balle’s 18th birthday party.

I didn't take her not giving me the attention she always gave me too well. My wolf reasoned with me but I’m very bad when my ego gets bruised plus the alcohol in my system wasn’t much help either. I ended up beating the poor guy pretty bad and had it not been for my future beta and best friend Kyle I’d have killed him. And that is obviously not acceptable behavior for the future alpha of the biggest and strongest park in the region. I really messed up and I know mother and father won’t let me hear the end of it all; ugh this mate b*$hit really isn’t something I believe in any more, yes I did when I was younger but after phasing and not finding my mate I lost all hope. I mean come on, I have been 18 for 6 months now and I haven’t found my mate or whatever yet and my blood is stronger I should have found her by now if she existed . This whole thing had been on my mind for a long time and I guess my girlfriend finding hers triggered something in me that I had been suppressing for a while and I unfortunately lashed out on her poor mate. She’ll never forgive me for this, not that I care anyways. The only people I care about are my parents especially my father who will kill me when he gets here tomorrow; that I’m sure of. Anyways enough about that let me get to school before I get into even more trouble there. I showered quickly, put on some black ripped jeans and a plain blue t-shirt that showed of my my physique just like I liked it. I took my school bag and rushed to the door, I didn’t even eat cause I was so late I just took an apple to eat on the way. Of course I found Saya still waiting outside, this girl really loves to get on my nerves she’s so lucky I love her annoying little a$$ She couldn’t use any of the drivers at home really? instead she wanted to make me late than I already was. I am definitely getting detention today I go to a human school and my dad has a rule that we all follow the human rules to properly fit in even though the school comprises of mostly the supernatural I really don’t get it. How embarrassing is it that I the future Alpha has to follow rules that are set for mere humans! I’ll never get it really. “Well quickly get in I don’t have all day Say” I snapped at Saya.

She was busy looking at something on her phone even though she knew I was already running late,

Alright, jeez man!” She said jumping in the passenger seat.

Buckle up” i stated, starting the car I drove out when she was done and drove out of the garage in my black Audi A8. Kyle and Mitch my Beta and Gamma respectively, had left before me today because I told them to go without me last night cause I wanted to sleep in a little. Our house was big with 10 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, two kitchens, a pool, two garages, not like most pack houses because we lived in a community that was monitored by pack guards ordinary humans couldn’t tell but wolves from other packs and other supernaturals knew not to enter our territory without permission; my pack is very territorial and we’re the strongest pack in this region and every other we’ve come across this far.

All the other pack members lived within it. Next to my house; the Alpha’s house were the Beta’s on the left and the Gamma’s on the right and then the the worriers and elders and then the lower ranking members.

I drove as fast as I could to the school which was just a few blocks from our little community but within our territory. Of course Saya kept screaming at me to slow down but I was really late and I really didn’t want detention so Yeah I ignored her like always and got to school within 15 minutes unlike the usual 25.

She rushed to the junior side of the school fuming...that little brat! so ungrateful tsk. “You’re welcome my sweet sister”

I yelled

“Yeah Kaden, Thanks for my not getting us into an accident!” She yelled back with sarcasm laced in her tone “Yeah yeah thanks to my driving we aren’t late missy” “Not we Den brother” she said with a devilish grin and then I heard the bell signaling the end of first period ”$hit!!!” I ran into the school and straight to second period since I was already late for English. When I got to bio everyone was already in class and before I walked to my desk I was handed a detention slip I simply looked at it, not like I was going to that anyway. I really wasn’t in the mood. I was about to continue walking when I smelt her; the new girl Malaika. She’s by far the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, she seems to not know it cause she’s always wearing her hoodie up and is always in buggy shirts and hoodies but I can tell even from far that she has a banging body that I really want to get my hands on. No, I’m not a creep or anything; I’ve never even been one to drool over any girl but damn this girl just has something that has me enchanted I can’t lie I have a huge crush on her. Whenever she’s in the room I smell only her. She smells like Fresh cocoa and lavender a smell I’ve grown to look forward to and know since last week when she transferred here. she has the most innocent eyes, the cutest nose that fits perfectly on her face and oh those beautiful plump lips that I long to kiss and have around my now throbbing member just thinking of her! Damn it! Not again! ....From the way she bites on her bottom lip in class when thinking to the way she plays with her hair when concentrating on something like she is right now, turns me on. I get pulled out of my thoughts by Kyle my Beta; “You’re doing it again” he says with his dorky smile “Doing what? “Looking at the new girl like she’s a piece of meat” he says “Mind your damn business man, also I’m not drooling I’m simply admiring and appreciating” “Well you should appreciate less before she catches you” simply scoff and concentrate on the class. Not without stealing glances every now and then of course.

Laika looked so beautiful today, she of course zoned out in the middle of class like always and I couldn’t resist talking to her so I made Mitch switch seats with me so I could talk to her. She didn’t even notice the exchange. When she turned after I asked what she was thinking about; I swear I lost all my senses with her looking directly into my eyes. I had to remind myself to breathe again. She was shocked to see me so close I could tell I affected her somehow and that satisfied me. After that incident I couldn’t help myself I kept starring at her whenever I got the chance and I could tell she noticed. I may might have made her uncomfortable cause she became agitated. She was so angry after PE I knew she wanted to confront me but when The was getting close I simply walked away she looked so cute angry. I kept teasing her the whole day and I sort of landed her in detention. I was waiting outside for Mitch to finish football practice when I noticed her leaving the school, she was leaving school quite late I don’t know why but I felt the need to follow her but I was Mitch’s ride so I had to wait and just watched her cute ass walk home. Mitch took too long and I was worried about Laika for some reason so I texted him and told him I’d pick him up later and decided to follow Laika. I was driving, heading the way she headed following her scent when I smelled them, f*****g vampires! What and how were they in My territory without being detected?! Oh no Laika!!! I quickly got out of my car and followed her scent into a bush and there she was; almost lifeless, on the ground. I SAW RED The first leach launched himself at me but I caught him mid air and ripped of his head, the second one was faster but not fast enough as I caught him with my teeth and ripped him in half. When I was done I noticed my Laika watching me, I forgot she was human she was shocked but I saw something in her eyes, relief. I quickly walked to her and then I noticed the bite, s**t! This can’t be, I’ve always despised leaches but it seems the girl I’m attracted and if my senses haven’t failed me is my Mate is about to become one. She snuggled up into my chest and held me tightly her body fit perfectly in my hands and she looked so peaceful sleeping. I walked to my car and placed her in the back and then texted Kyle to find out her address. I drove to her house and stealthily carried her to her room, I easily picked out which one it was cause her scent was highly concentrated in it. I lay her under the covers, I could tell the change was slowly going on in her body by how she moved around in the bed. I hope she gets out of this alive, not many people can survive the transition..

I know she’s strong I can feel it but I can’t help the worry. I rush out her window when I hear her father walk to her room and head to my car, I text my head guard at home that I won’t be sleeping there to night and stay up all night watching over my Vampire mate she’ll need me in the morning.

Malaika’s POV

I woke up feeling the sun rays hit my skin, for some reason that makes me very uncomfortable so I quickly move away and roll off my bed.

I don't remember getting home or even getting to my room. Did Kaden bring me here? Did all that really happen or was it all just a dream? My body doesn't feel bruised at all and my neck; I place my hand on my neck and there’s nothing. where's the mirror!??

I frantically run to the mirror in on the wall; I look at my neck and there really is nothing. No marks or anything, maybe I just had a very bad dream? but I don't remember getting home from school,

Maybe I was just too tired and that dream has confused me too much to even know what day it is? Yeah that must be it. I push all the thoughts to the back of my head and decide to take a shower but first I need to pick today’s outfit. Really can’t be late for school today, how did I not even hear the alarm go off? Ugh! Let me just take a shower and head to school before I’m actually late.

I walk straight to my closet to pick an outfit while taking off my hoodie and tank top.

“Oh she's thinking again" someone says form behind me

Wait a minute, who the hell was that!? I know that voice for sure!

I slowly turn around just to find Kaden sitting on the edge of my dedroom window with that weird warm smile again, just like last night after he helped me; that’s when it hits me; it wasn't some weird dream that I'd just had, I was really attacked by vampires and Kaden was...oh my God! I feel a chill run down my spine and my brain goes in shock.

A million things go through my mind, I absentmindedly start moving back till I hit my wardrobe’s cold door. My eyes are wide it’s like I forgot how to blink.

Kaden gets up and slowly walks towards me, I gulp and shut my eyes maybe I’m imagining this too? I say the words “please don’t be real” in my head repeatedly. I open my eyes to find him getting closer to me

“please don't hurt me” I squeal moving to the other side of the wall till I’m almost on the bathroom door, he’s stalking towards me and not saying a word with a look I can’t decipher in his eyes.

I can feel every step he takes like the floor and I are one I close my eyes again and I await my doom; but its quiet, he does nothing.

"Is he gone?” I wonder; I slowly open my eyes to take a peek and there he is again, closer than he was when I closed my eyes. He’s focusing on me like he's looking for something. He looks both worried and amused?

His eyes drift between my eyes and neck and then the rest of my body. Is he checking me out? Why the hell is he in my room? What am I thinking? I was bitten by a vampire if I’m not dead am I one like in the movies? It can’t be I need to die first right?” I begin to panic again.

He has his lips in a straight line, he seems to have noticed my mental panic and he backs away from me; but I don’t want him to, wait! What am I saying? What’s wrong with me?.

He looks at me more intensely and says to me

“you've healed fast. I really wanted you to live but deep down hoped you wouldn't too. I'm glad you're alive but I can't say I'm very excited about what you're about to become." He says with a hint of disgust and disapproval in his voice.

I stand there puzzled and more confused by hi so words even more than i was when I woke up.

" what do you mean?" Do you hate me so much that you'd hope I die? Why did you save me then?" I grit

"Oh girlie!!! You have no idea" he simply says

I'm standing there even more confused but all he does is just pace around my room, occasionally glancing my way. He looks deep in thought.

He finally looks at me, oh now he’s paying me some attention? Tsk! he walks towards me again with an intense look that sends chills all over my already sweating body but this time I'm just standing there looking back at him; he stops midway, his eyes drift to my chest and I instinctively follow his gaze this time; s**t! I forgot I wasn’t wearing a shirt! I quickly cover my chest with my hands while he shamelessly and may I say lustfully watches my every movement. His eyes seem darker.

I give him a disapproving look and that knocks him out of the trance he seems to be in and he turns to the window and jumps right out.

“What the hell!?”

I rush to check if he's okay because it's a long way down from my bedroom window to the ground and I find him just standing there unscathed. Of course, I forgot he’s a damn werewolf. I can’t believe I can say that with a straight face.

“get dressed and come down quick, I don't have all day." He says or rather commands.

I rush into the shower confused, scared and worried.

I turn on the shower and I swear I could feel every drop of water hit my skin, I can smell the fresh hot water and can hear it move from the pipes to the shower I shake my head to get back to my senses or out of my Senses I don't know anymore to be honest.

After a few minutes I am out of there and dressed. I walk down the stairs and to the kitchen, luckily no one is there I quickly grab an apple to eat but it tastes like dirt, but I’m so hungry so I get some left over chicken in the fridge and eat it cold at least it tastes better.

I quickly rush out the door and see Kaden standing by his car; it’s a Audi just not sure what make I’m not much of a car person.

Immediately I walk into the sun I feel like it’s burning my skin and I flinch at the feeling. I rush into Kaden’s car when he opens the door.

When I get into his car I can’t help but inhale deeply, his car smells so good! and when he gets in I can’t resist and I lean into him sniffing his neck. He smells heavenly, his musky scent is mixed with something that makes my mouth water and my panties dump, it’s like nothing I’ve ever smelt.

To my surprise he doesn’t move away, instead he does the same think like I’m doing to him. He’s sniffing my neck, inhaling my scent like he needs it to breath. Does he think I smell as good as I think he does? My heart is beating so fast, I can hear his blood move through his veins and I’m in a haze I have this urge to sink my teeth in there and taste him, I can’t help a moan when he places a soft kiss on my neck.

I don’t know where the courage comes from but I grab him by his hair and start nibbling on his ear as his hands go to the back of my neck and I bend my neck to give him more access to it.

He pulls back and looks me deep in my eyes out of breath just like I am. His eyes are darker and hooded I move to get closer to him when a car playing very loud music passes by; pulling me out of the haze I’m in. I quickly move back in my seat and I blush after realizing what had just happened; what I’d just done. What’s wrong with me?! What had gotten into me? I look back at Kaden he’s roughly pulling on his hair, he looks at me angry. Why’s he angry, is he angry at me?

“I can’t believe this” he says

“What can’t you believe” I ask him,

He looks at me dead in the eyes

“I can’t believe My Mate is a Vampire”
