Chapter 9

Grayson's POV

It didn't take that long to reach the pack and she didn't say much through out the journey. she just looked out the window the entire time we passed the place, making me wonder what is going on in her mind. she seemed mesmerized by the land, the Blood moon pack is beautiful, with Natura views and all peaceful serene,the landscape was to die for.

" we are here"

Davon announced just as the car slowed towards the pack house or should I say mansion as her eyes lit the moment her eyes came in contact with the building in front of her, she must like what she sees.

We all came down from the car and I took the long breath feeling like I can finally relax. I felt like I have been gone for too long.

I looked at Zara, her face looked cherry like, with plump cheeks and big eyes looking up at me, her lips rosy and pink, I feel like ravishing them.Damn ! what the heck am I thinking, seconds ago I was talking about how she was trouble and now I want to devour her. was taken out of my thoughts by her question.

"what is your name?"

" Greyson"

"Grey it's a beautiful name , I like it"

she said my name with a smile and I like the way it sounds coming from her mouth . I need to know what she thinks about this mate bond thing and the fact that she is not feeling it, it's putting me in a difficult position.

"Davon I've never done this kind of thing "

I mind linked my beta, trying to calm the storm that was starting to brew inside me.

" I know man and I know that you have been doing a lot of things lately that you don't normally do." he chuckled and I growled.

The way she was looking all over the place ,it looked it was different for her, whatever she has lived her life before it has come to an end now, she is going to have to have a new beginning. Things are going to change, it is going to be on my own terms ,her fate has been changed. I'm not sure if she has figured out that I'm actually the alpha of this pack or not but the look in her eyes shows that she might have a clue.

" what are you thinking about, are we going to stand here all day" Davon. asked through the link.

" I decided to tell her about the bond and take her as my Luna to rule beside me, I don't see how it would be a problem beside I will teach her everything she needs to know"

"That's good man, you have made a selfless decision and I will also help you to protect her, you know you can count on me "

" I know man , thank you. I'm not sure if I'm ready for this but I know that my heart is out of reach , but I have a feeling she something special."

" I also feel like that man, my wolf can't stop running around in my head excited that she is going to be our Luna."

" Zara can you please follow me to my office , there is something I need to speak to you about "

" what is it about?"

"You will find out soon enough."

I guided her through my office which was in the second floor, I opened the door and ushered her in and I heard her gasp , knowing that she was impressed with the layout and the decoration that was in it. I led her to a chair and sat next to her. somehow I was slightly nervous and I'm not the type to be ,I don't know what going on but it has to stop.

" I believe you deserve to atleast know the truth before anything else can be continued."

" I don't understand, is everything alryt"

confusion was laced on her face and she looked panicked somehow.

" don't be confused, I think you already guessed that I'm actually the alpha of this pack and Davon is actually my Beta, and lastly you are my mate."

I looked for her reaction but the. her reaction to what I said was the unexpected of it all. I know she was going to be shocked when I told her that she was my mate. Hell I'm shocked too but I was not prepared for the extent of her reaction, she just passed out on me . I didn't know what to do as this was my first time dealing with such situations. I lifted her in my arms and went directly to my bedroom which was in the third floor and I believed she would be much comfortable in there. I sat down next to her ,taking in her beauty even in her consciousness and also checked her breathing and found she was breathing fine and I sighed in relief. After a while she woke up but she was in a panicked mode. she just looked at me with confusion as if she is trying to think of something or what happened.

" I don't know if I have heard you properly Alpha, I'm sorry for passing out on you earlier."

" You certainly heard right, Zara. you fainted quickly just after I told you , you are my mate " I waited to see her reaction but she looked fine with no emotions.

" I don't understand why I fainted and I can't be your mate, it's not possible as I'm not feeling the bond on my side, beside you wouldn't wasn't a weak Luna, and I'm not suitable to be anyone's mate "

" you are my mate Zara and I accept you as you are and for your records you are not weak, as for not feeling the mate bond it's probably because of what you have gone through before you decided to end your life by the lake, you might be hurt or in pain that made your wolf to be resting for now .

" But why me?"

" I don't know but I would think that the moon goddess found it fit for us to be fated together."

" But yet you don't want anything to do with me, why would you want someone like me as a mate."

she said her voice breaking.

" it's not like that, it's complicated but I have responsibilities and you are one of them." I replied with my voice unchanged.

" so this is all for being responsible then."

I could see the hurt in her eyes and hear the pain in her voice but the truth was better than any pretense.

" unfortunately yes, I won't ask much from you, just that you perform your Luna duties, give me pups and you will be protected and gave everything you need."

" So that's it then, I'm just a breeding mate to you. so you have planned to drag me here by lying to me because you cold gave told me this before I could choose my own route than being here. Do I even matter or even have a say about this."

" yes you do matter, just that things are a bit complicated and to be honest I wasn't expecting to find you."

"Atleast you are being honest but I have to decline your offer Mr Alpha and I'm glad I'm not feeling the bond because it were to hurt me with the way you are talking."

I saw a teardrop at the corner of her eyes, my heart broke into pieces but I will have to make her understand the reasons why I'm doing this is to protect her heart from getting shattered.

"I'm sorry but please do think about this because since I have found you, there is no way I can just ignore it. you will soon understand why I'm doing this just don't leave atleast not yet,get to know the pack and decide after that."

She just looked at me with pain in her eyes until she stood up turning her back to me and asked me to leave the room, I just stood there looking at her and I could swear I saw tears running down those rosy cheeks, my heart stopped beating for a bit, I just sighed heavily and left the room closing the door behind me.
