Prologue : Awkward Interaction
Amenda Salvador. A well mannered girl in everyone's eyes is now sitting inside the guidance office for punching somebody. It's not just anybody. . . It was one of the school's top students. But she, herself, is also one of the top students. She shouldn't be afraid, right? Wrong. "Tell me, Miss Salvador. What happened?" the principal asked. Amenda looked down, not wanting to tell them. She doesn't have any grudge against the top student, no, she doesn't. She just mistook him for somebody else. But her reason to hate that somebody isn't really that appeasing. She rather not spill. "I also would like to know the reason I got punched by a short girl," the boy sneered. Not really liking the idea that he got touched nor he got punched in the face. It was clear as a daylight. "I'm so sorry," Amenda mumbled and look at the cheek she punched. It didn't leave any mark or anything. But she really regretted that. The boy in front of her nodded his head, seeing that her eyes spoke more. She doesn't mean no harm, so he decided not to make anything more complicated. He rather not waste his time. "Okay." He then turned to leave but Amenda stopped him by grabbing his wrist, "Let me make it up to you?" The boy only shook his head. He knew that the girl only felt guilty and not apologetic at all. She's doing this to appease herself, not to really make it up to him. "No." The simple declaration of "no" made Amenda sulk. Her grip lightened and soon, she let go. She wasn't afraid of getting scolded by the principal or anything. She was afraid that someone might hate her. And the boy saw that. Usually, he wouldn't take time observing one's expressions. But lucky him, he's thinking about emotions today. The boy turned to the principal and looked at him as if asking for help. The principal only shrugged. The boy sighed and tried to think of something to make the girl do. He haven't been in school for months now since something happened in their household. . . "Lend me your notes." Amenda looked back at the boy and smiled slightly, "Sure!" This is a weird first impression or meeting. Amenda knew that. She looked like a pitiful girl, she knew that. She bit her lips slightly and grabbed the boy's wrist again. Dragging him towards her classroom. They weren't in the same class, but she knew that they have the same lessons. They're both STEM students, it's the same, right? Once they entered the room, Amenda's classmates started to whisper. Amenda tried to not roll her eyes. Rumors will spread now, great. Just what she wanted. She hated it. Now they'll make false accusations. Just another things she needs to handle. Again. She took her bag and took her binder. All her notes are in there, he can use them. She handed her notes to him and mumbled another, "Sorry about what happened." The boy only nodded his head and started to exit. The girls were still whispering. Amenda gritted her teeth for a second and then smiled warmly to the retreating figure, "I'm sorry again for what happened. My notes are arranged, I hope you can forgive me with that." Amenda listened to how the girls changed the rumors. It wasn't the whole truth, but at least they're close to it. She sat on her chair and took her phone and headset out. She plugged it in and put the buds on her ears. She played the song and layed her head on the table, with her arms serving as her pillow. She lost her temper there, she punched someone without thinking. Pathetic. People will think she's nuts. They'll think she's a barbaric girl. They always will think badly. How will she turn it around? Maybe she can say she didn't mean to? Or saw a fly? That's silly. You don't punch a fly. Maybe she could get him a gift? An apology gift? An apology gift. . . She'll do that! She'll get him an apology gift.
