The ear-splitting blaring siren of the ambulance wailed and jolted me out of the reverie of my grief. However, like a coward, my body still tottered and froze; my swollen red eyes lingered at the throng of the people which dispersed, giving a space for some people in white with a stretcher to slide in. The voices of the people in the scene buzzing my hearing filled the air.
