Jess accelerated his thoughts without even thinking about it, giving him time to evaluate the situation. His first impression was that it was bad, verging on awful. The robots were down and the guards already had their weapons centred on him.
Stone didn’t look in the mood to talk things through calmly, and what could Jess say anyway? Stone was right. The whole story had been one giant lie, but it had fallen down on two simple parts. He’d completely forgotten that he’d played Elizabeth’s son the last time round, and apparently he’d used Teeko’s name at least once.
