Chapter 32 Clay thought there could be nothing worse than that feeling of being drowned in darkness. Then he discovered that he was wrong. His wrist erupted in agony. It felt as if someone had cut through it with a knife. He screamed in pain, writhing uncontrollably. As quickly as the pain had come it went. He found himself staring at his wrist, expecting to see a stump or at best massive damage. There was nothing. Just his wrist and his ID band. How was that possible? Then the woman on top of him shifted and he remembered the attack. A thought flickered through his mind, could there be a link between the attack and the pain from the band?
