Chapter 8
Jess’s jaw dropped. What he saw was awe-inspiring. Everywhere he looked were massive structures formed of crystal and light. They were all organic looking, as if they had grown rather than been built. Waves of colour slowly cascaded through the crystal structures, blending together to form new colours when they met.
The Wanderer couldn’t give any firm readings on the size of the structures. They didn’t even register on most of the ship’s sensors.
Jess slowly examined all the structures he could see, studying every detail. They were breathtaking, flowing designs with not a straight line in sight. While they sometimes shared similar structures no two were alike.
There seemed to be no traffic between the immense structures. No ships moved and there were no connections.
