Ariel's POV
“Get your remaining things, Ariella. You'll be leaving for Milan tonight.”
I stood in the hallway, Carlos's words still echoing in my mind, and I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to process everything, but my mind was a jumble of thoughts.
Before I could move, a loud creak suddenly resounded from downstairs. I froze, my heart racing. The sound was coming from Dermos's study. I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should investigate, and my curiosity got the better of me.
