Chapter 14 It turned out to be far from easy. He walked up the darkened walkway of a condo building he vaguely remembered now, with a glass front, thirty floors, and security at the front door. He didn’t know why he didn’t buzz her suite. Instead he saw a couple step out of the elevator hand in hand and open the door, and he grabbed it before it closed and then jabbed the button to the elevator. He stepped into the steel box, remembering the twenty-second floor, suite 2206, to be exact, the large apartment on the end.
