Chapter 15 What was up with Walker? Kate had woken up alone and heard him downstairs, of all things, shooting pool. It was dawn, she realized as she glanced over at the clock, barely six in the morning. The sun hadn’t even started to rise, and even though Kate enjoyed mornings, this was a little early. She gave herself a minute as she rubbed her eyes and then tossed back the covers. Wearing one of Walker’s T-shirts, she climbed out of bed and started down the stairs.
