“Yeah, I got punch in the face earlier, but I heal quick, so you don’t have to worry Ma’am.” I told her, I felt my face with my hand and found that it only hurt slightly. I will be totally fine in a few minutes. She nodded and went back to her desk. ”You should go back so you can be ready for when your team is up. I can stay with them.” I told Uraraka. She nodded her head in thanks and left to be ready for her fight.
I looked at Denki who was asleep on the medical bed and thought about how he turned into an i***t. ‘If he put out too much and this is the result, then what if I try to put electricity back into him?’ I thought. I walked to his side and held my hand in front of me.
I let a few sparks fly between my fingers before I put my hand to the side of his neck. I slowly let ‘Pure’ flow through me and into him. I started at a low voltage then upped it a little bit. I pulled away after a few seconds and tried to wake him up.
He woke up a couple seconds later and asked, “Has it been an hour already?” I stifled my laugh and thought ‘This must happen pretty often.’ I shook my head and told him, “No, it’s been about 10 minutes, I tried to put electricity back into you to see if that would reverse anything and it did so now you don’t have to wait an hour to be back to normal. I hope that was okay, I should have asked before I did anything, I’m sorry.” “No, it’s okay, thank you. You saved me from being a dunce for a bit longer.” He said.
I still have to get used to people accepting things I do. It’s weird to not get in trouble for everything I do.
I heard a groan come from the left of me, so I turned to see Bakugo starting to wake up. I walked over to him as he opened his eyes and looked around when he spotted me. He sighed a breath of relief and mumbled something, but I didn’t catch it.
“Hey Firework.” I said to him. He smiled a small smile and said, “Hey, Kii, what the hell happened?” “I second that mademoiselle.” Aoyama said from the bed next to him in a tired voice. “Me and Denki shocked the both of you and made you collapse. We brought you here about 7 minutes ago with the help of Uraraka.” I said.
“Dunce Face fried his brain again didn’t he?” Bakugo said. “Hey! I get that it happens more then I’d like, but you don’t have to say it like that!” he said from where he was sitting on the medical bed. He walked over and said. “I would have been an i***t for much longer, but Akiyama helped me out of the state so now I’m not a dunce for an hour.”
“How the f**k did you do that?” Bakugo asked me.
“I thought about how he turns into a dunce because he emits to much electricity, so I wondered what would happen if I put some electricity back into him. I tested it out and he went back to normal.” Bakugo nodded his head and Denki decided to speak up, “I thought you had a fire quirk?”
“Well, no, she has a quirk called Demon-angel. She has multiple quirks that either fall into a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ category. Depending on which category they land in depends on their color as well.” Bakugo said.
Both Aoyama and Denki looked at him like he had three heads. “Why the hell do you keep staring at me? I answered the f*****g question!” he yelled. I forced myself to keep cool instead of jumping back against the closest wall. Bakugo looked at me as if to make sure I was okay, so I nodded my head and turned around to tell Recovery Girl that they were up.
We walked back over to see Bakugo and Denki arguing over something. “Boys, you know not to start any fights in here. If I see you two at it again, you will get a months-worth of detention. Understand?” Recovery Girl said. They immediately shut their mouths and waited for her to do her thing. She checked them for any wounds that were missed and found none so she dismissed them.
“You come here anytime you get hurt dearie, I will help you, okay?” she told me as we headed to the door. “Yes Ma’am, thank you.” I told her with a small smile and left with the rest of them. When we reached the training grounds again, a guy with purple balls for hair and a guy with a tail were fighting a pink skinned girl and someone who I guess was invisible.
The guy with purple balls for hair was sent flying through the air over the line. “Congratulations Young Ashido and Hagakure! Next is the winning team against Team A! Get ready!” All Might said with his naturally loud voice. He noticed that we came back so we walked to us and said, “You guys are back sooner than expected. But that’s good, you guys just sit and watch with the rest of the students.”
We nodded our head and went to sit down with the others. When Deku saw us approaching, he jumped up to make sure I was okay. I took a step back as he bounded over because if someone was running at me, it usually meant I was about to get hurt. He immediately slowed down and said, “Sorry about that, are you okay? Are you hurt?” he asked me.
He asked Firework the same thing and I nodded my head while he said, “Of course I’m okay you fuckin nerd. I don’t need you fuckin looking after me.” Izu just rolled his eyes with a face that said, ‘You never change.’ A small smile made its way to my face as we all sat down.
All I wanted to do at this moment was go to my new dorm, that I haven’t been to yet, and try to organize everything. I can’t do that right now, but I look forward to it somewhat. As the fight began, everyone was conversing about the battles that had happened previously.
“Hey, Denki! You okay dude?” the guy that was partnered with Shinso asked him. Denki said, “Yeah Sero, Akiyama actually helped me out to. Now I’m not a dunce for an hour. Well, at least not this time.” as he sat down next to him. He turned to me and said, “I really can’t thank you enough for that, how can I repay you, I won’t stop until I do.” I was taken aback by how strongly he wanted to do that. I didn’t think it was that special, but I guess it was to him.
“As long as you start calling me Kiiarda or something, I will consider it repaid. Okay?” I said with a small smile. He thought it over before he said, “If you are sure that’s what you want, then I guess it’s okay. How about I call you……Aki?” I nodded my head, and he smiled then turned back to Sero, I guess his name is.
I turned away and tried to focus on the fight. I flinched at every loud crash that hit the ground. I am surprised that I didn’t do anything when the fight happened. Maybe it was because I knew that it wasn’t my parents? Either way, I was glad that I got out of talking to Firework and Izu about my situation for a bit.
I started thinking about everything that could go wrong. I made sure that I didn’t think about anything too fast, so I don’t set off another panic attack. I must have been lost in my thoughts for a while because next thing I know I was slowly being brought back to the present as I saw Firework waving a hand in my face trying to get my attention.
I shook my head and said, “What are we supposed to do next?” “We have lunch then two more classes. After that, we go to your dorm.” Izu said. I nodded my head and stood up to follow them. I saw Shinso lag behind a bit, so I walked next to him and walked side-by-side with him.
“Are you sure that you’re okay?” Shinso said as he kept looking forward, only sparing me a glance. “Yeah, I’m okay. I saw you talking with Denki this morning, how was that?” I asked him remembering that Denki wouldn’t stop talking to him this morning. He gave me a look that said, ‘He wouldn’t shut up.’ He rolled his eyes and said, “He wouldn’t stop talking and even when I told him to stop he didn’t. But at least I didn’t have to say much, he talked enough for the both of us. I only listened partly to what he was saying. He paused when you and the other two came in but started back up again when everyone else started talking. I had to brainwash him to get him to stop. The only good thing is that I didn’t have to talk much.” “I think you have talked more to me then you have to anyone in this school. But yeah, he does talk a bit much.” I told him.
He had a small blush creeping up his face and he mumbled something along the lines of, ‘You’re just easy to talk to.’ I let it go with a small smile and we continued walking in silence.
“Kii, why the hell you dragging behind?” Firework asked as he walked backwards next to me. “Just hanging out with a friend.” I told him. He glanced at Shinso and gave a grunt as a reply. I smiled at that and asked him, “What class is next?” “English.” Is all he said. I can’t wait for classes to be over so I can see the dorm. I still have to find out which one is mine.
*At the end of the last class*
As soon as the bell rang signaling the end of class, all the students, including the teacher, immediately started to get their stuff together so they could leave. Once my stuff was packed up, I lifted my head to find Firework standing in front of my desk.
“We are waiting on the Nerd to pack up his s**t, then we can go.” He said. “Okay, I have to stop by the front office to get my dorm keys though. When I got here this morning, they told me to come back at the end of the day to get my dorm keys and that my stuff will be in the room already when I get there.” I told him. He nodded his head and as soon as Izu walked to us, Bakugo took the lead and started heading to the front office as we followed him.
Once we got there, I went to the front desk and asked the lady there, “Excuse me, I was told to come at the end of the day to get my dorm keys?” “Akiyama, correct?” she asked me. I nodded my head, and she got up. She grabbed the keys from the back and handed them to me. “The dorm number is on the key, have a good evening sweetie.” The lady said with a smile. I smiled a little back in thanks and continued on the walk to the dorm building with Bakugo still in the lead.
I looked at the tag on the keys and it said ‘4F #XXX’, so I am guessing that means I am on the 4th floor? Once we got to Hight’s Alliance, I showed Firework the tag on my key’s to which he said, “That’s the dorm right across from mine. So, I can show you to your dorm while Deku goes to his to change. Once you open your dorm, I am gonna give you 5 minutes to change into something more comfortable. The second those 5 minutes are up I am going to be at your door waiting for you to let me in. Deku, your ass better not be late. Let’s go.” I nodded my head while Izu nodded his franticly and started running to his dorm.
I let out a little giggle and followed Bakugo as he took the elevator to the 4th floor. He walked towards the end and stopped in front of the dorm right before the last one on the right. “This is my Dorm. Yours is the one right across from it.” Bakugo said and pointed to my dorm. I nodded my head and said, “Okay, I will see you in 5 minutes I guess.” He nodded and went into his dorm.
I went into mine and was in awe at how big it seemed. It was bigger than the one I have at my parent’s house, nearly twice as big. Taking my shoes off, I noticed all of my boxes were stacked into the back corner. I looked through them quickly for where my clothes are. Counting the time in my head, I only have about a minute and 30 seconds left.
I grabbed a black shirt, black hoodie, and a pair of blue jeans. I sat down on the bed that was already in here getting ready for this conversation that I was about to have. I don’t even know where to start. I was thinking about all the possible ways for this to go south and almost had a panic attack when a knock sounded on my door making me jump and fall on the floor.
I landed with a very small thud as I let out a little grunt from the impact. I got up and walked over to the door and pulled it opened to see Bakugo with his hand raised about to knock again with Izu behind him. I opened the door a bit more and stepped aside so that they could come in. When they walked in, I locked the door and let my wings out.
I only let people I trust see my wings and I trust them with my life. They turned around and looked surprised to see my wings.
They shook their head and the first thing out of Bakugo’s mouth was, “Why the f**k is your room so bare?” “Everything was delivered this morning and I didn’t have a chance to put anything away because I had to go to school. You can sit on the bed if you want, or the floor, I don’t have many places to sit just yet.” I told him.
I sat down on the desk chair that was already in the room. Bakugo and Izu sat on the floor next to the bed. Once we got as comfortable as we were gonna get, Bakugo broke the silence in the room by saying, “I want you to tell me everything that happened since you disappeared a few years ago. If something happened before that, I want you to tell me that as well. I don’t care if it takes all night, I want you to tell me and I am not gonna leave until you do.” While looking at me.
I stared at my hands and thought about where to start. The question must have been on my face because Izu said, “Just begin with where it first started. You can go from there.” I nodded my head and started talking. “It actually started a little after I turned 4 after I had just gotten my quirk. I was on top of the house watching the stars when I tried to reach my hand out to try and grab one when I got to close to the edge and fell. Before I hit the ground, a pair of wings came out from my back and helped me land. I went to show my parents that I thought I got my quirk. You both know that my mother’s quirk was called ‘Angel’ and my fathers was called ‘Fire from Hell’ right?” They nodded their heads, so I continued.
“Part of my mom’s quirk is having wings that she can retract inside her body. They were excited at first thinking I would have something similar to my mom’s quirk. A few days later, I tried to help dad cook something in the kitchen but when I tried to turn the stove on, I played around, and this black fire started to burn the stove and everything around it. Somehow my mom was able to put it out with her quirk and I got in a lot of trouble that day. My dad told me that the fire I created was part of a villains quirk, so he started to beat me saying I was a villain. The next week, we found out that I had a lot more quirks then we originally thought. They took me to the doctor to see what it all entailed. The doctor said that I have a quirk called ’Demon-Angel’ and that I have multiple powers concerning that quirk. Any power from the Demon side is black in color with a dark aura and any power with my Angel side is white with a bright aura. When we got home that day, my father started beating me as soon as we walked through the door. All he kept saying was how he couldn’t believe that he had a demon and a villain for a daughter. Sometimes my mother would join in on it to. There were times when one or both of my parents would go out to get drunk and come home just to beat me even worse than they did before. They decided to homeschool me and didn’t let me leave the house. The older I got the worse it became and a few times they had to take me to the hospital because they broke a limb or two. T-they still d-do it to t-this d-day. I hide my w-wings when I am h-home because my dad t-tried to b-burn them off. H-he said that a d-demon shouldn’t be a-able to f-fly. It j-just got w-worse over the years. N-now at any loud or sudden noise, I-I flinch and hope that it’s not t-them. I can’t tell you h-how scared I am that I-I have to still go h-home on the w-weekends and see them….” I didn’t say anymore because I had tears streaming down my face and I kept whipping my eyes hoping to get them to stop but to no avail.
Next thing I knew, two pairs of arms wrapped around me. I flinched and tried to back away, but they held tighter. Opening my eyes that apparently closed, I saw that the arms belonged to Firework and Izu. I stopped fighting and let them comfort me. I leaned on Bakugo and cried my eyes out for I don’t know how long.
When I was reduced to sniffles and hic-ups, Bakugo decided to ask, “Why don’t you just tell someone? If you do, then you wouldn’t have to live with those assholes anymore.” I immediately shook my head no and said, “I can’t do that. My dad has connections with the police all over and the first thing police do is ask the parents if they abuse their child or children. If the parents say no or they say that the child said that just for attention, the police believe the parents and an hour after they leave, they will beat the s**t out of me. At least a hundred times more than usual. I have tried that once and I don’t want that to happen again. I couldn’t walk, talk, write, or anything for a month. I can’t go through that again. Please don’t say anything, please! I can’t go through that again please promise!” He looked me in the eye, hesitating before he reluctantly agreed.
I let out a little sigh of relief and hugged them closer, glad that they were there. After a few minutes of silence, Izu spoke up, “I think that it’s almost dinner time, we should get some food in your stomach because you feel as if you haven’t eaten too much. Is your favorite food still Miso Soup?” I nodded my head and broke the hug to get up off the floor that we somehow ended up on and whipped my face with the sleeve of my hoodie.
I was sure that my face was red and puffy, but I didn’t care. A hand landed on my back in between my shoulders, and I let out a hiss because of the pain that it inflicted. The hand moved away immediately. I turned to see who did that and I was answered with Bakugo asking, “What the hell happened?”
“Since I can retract my wings back inside my body, I do that to hide them from my parents, so they don’t burn my wings off. If I hide them for two long, I start to get bruises at the base of my wings. If I have them retracted, I have bruises where they would be coming out from. I almost never let them out anymore at the house except for when they are gone, or I decide to let them out when I am sleeping. I can let them out a little more now as long as it’s just us or I have the door locked to my room.” I told him.
“You do know, that if you keep them retracted for too long, you could end up not being able to get them out.” Bakugo said. “Yes firework, I know. That is why I am trying to let them out more, as long as my parents aren’t around and it’s only people I trust.” I told him.
He just grumbled and looked away. “How about you take a shower and come down to the common room for dinner. You get comfortable again and we will see you in a little bit, okay?” Izu said. I nodded my head and hugged them both again. When I stepped back I noticed the spot-on Bakugo’s shirt and said, “I am so sorry for crying on your shirt and ruining it Bakugo. Please forgive me.” “It’s fine Kii, all I have to do is wash it. Now take a shower.” He said.
I nodded my head and was about to look for my Pajamas when I figured I could give him one of the key’s. I took one of my keys off and gave it to Bakugo saying, “I am gonna give my extra key to you two. You can come buy whenever as long as you say that you are coming in. I’ll go take a shower now, see you later and thank you guys for being here.” He gave me a full-blown smile and nodded his head.
I love when he smiles an actual smile. I guess I am not the only one because Izu is staring at him with a blush creeping up his face. I let out a small chuckle as they turned to leave, Bakugo’s smile going away as he went out the door. I turned around to the boxes and got my Pajama’s out then took a shower.
Bakugo’s P.O.V.
As I was walking out of Kiiarda’s door, I glanced back to see her going through the boxes for her pj’s. Once I closed the door, I made sure I didn’t lock it so I could go back in. I turned to Deku and told him, “Alright Deku, listen up. You are going to cook enough for everyone. I am putting you in charge of the cooking so don’t fuckin mess it up!”
“Kacchan, if I can cook anything, its Miso Soup. I know how she likes it to. Don’t worry about it. What are you going to do though?” He said. “I am going to help her unpack a little bit. While she is in the shower, I am gonna unpack her stuff, so she doesn’t have to stay up all night doing it since we have school tomorrow. Her and Sleepy get along somehow so if you find him, send him this way so he can help me. Maybe Pikachu to. He wanted some way to repay her, and this could be it. So go, while I take care of this. Got it?” I told him. He nodded and gave me a small smile before he went to start cooking.
I turned around and cracked opened the door a little bit to see if she was still in her room. Luckily, she wasn’t so I entered the room and looked at the furniture that was all stacked-on top of each other against the wall. I sighed and started thinking about what should go where. I was about to start moving the bookshelf that was in front before I heard a light knock on the door.
It didn’t come from her door, but it sounded like it came from right across from it, which would be my door. I opened her door to see Sleepy and Pikachu about to knock on my door again. They turned around at the sound of the door opening and Sleepy had a confused look on his face. I waved my hand signaling for them to follow me into the room.
They did and as soon as they were in, I closed the door very lightly, so Kiiarda doesn’t know what is going on. “Okay, you two are going to help me unpack her room and get it organized before she gets out of the shower. She thinks of you two as friends, so you are going to help. Pika can think of this as a way to repay her for before, and Sleepy, you are the only other person that she can talk to without stuttering and being scared so that’s why you are here. Any questions?” I said.
They shook their head no, so I started telling them where to move things. About 10 minutes later, all the furniture was moved so we began on the boxes. I gave Pikachu all the ones that contained her books and her stuff for the desk and told him to put them up. Me and sleepy put her cloths away. He took care of the closet, and I took care of her dresser.
