TALES UNTOLD

SUNNY ROWEN (PRESENT) I gasp for air, my lungs suddenly closing off restraining any sort of oxygen to enter . leaving me helpless for a few minutes my eyes blur as colours start coming to view. I rub my eyes with the back of my hand and sit up from my bed my muscles screaming in pain as I wince in the discomfort. The buzzing of my alarm rings in my ears. It takes me a few minutes before I go back to normal as I hold up my phone and look at the time I rush out of bed and storm into my bathroom changing into my uniform hurriedly. I quickly but up my ash blonde hair in a messy bun and grab my jacket off my dresser before dashing down the stairs slamming my door louder than necessary. I look around grabbing a piece of toast before running to the bus stop. I finally exhale in peace once im on the bus. Greta could've dropped me off and she offered many times but I declined. She'd definitely report to Ma about something like my non serious behaviour. I like Greta's company though and I absolutely love her cooking but I really realized early on she works for my mother and will tell her whatever she observes. My mother hired Greta as our worker, cook and all only when I was thirteen so she basically was in the house for alot of years and was a big help and friend to Ma when things got too much for my mom. Nonetheless I might not be close to Greta but I appreciate her help to our family. Im hauled out of my thoughts as the bus stops to our destination all of the students jumping off of the bus and running to school . I wait for everyone to get off before hopping down myself as well as wellspring international college comes into view. I walk behind a group of girls as my phone buzzes from my pocket. I don't bother opening the notification, I have very limited people in my life so its probably only nicole or addie texting me . Nicole is my older brother tris's girlfriend. She is extremely sweet to me and well I bonded pretty well with her last year when she was working on Lynda stillford's case last year with my brother. things escalated badly and my brother and nicole put it all behind them moving together. She checks up on me every week though and always calls once in a while to ask about my wellbeing. I appreciate it alot considering her personality. Nicole is very reserved to herself and only ever talks to me or tris freely and many call her mean but she really is an angel once you actually get to know her. Addie on the other hand is my best friend since I was a little girl. We met in kindergarten and since then we became inseparable I didn't get close to people but even as kids she made sure I talked to her. Addie gets me like no one else and I love her loads for understanding me when everyone else chooses not to. I pull out my chemistry textbook before shutting my locker close. When suddenly I hear my name being yelled "Sunny!!!!" I look up to see addie in the hallway with the biggest grin ever. Addie? what is she doing here? she runs towards me trapping me in a bug hug as I return it. when she finally lets go of my shoulders I hold her cheeks in my palms to inspect a face I missed for so long and she giggles at my small gesture. "I missed you addie, besides what are you doing in wellspring?" I ask. When we were kids we used to live in the same street but at our teenage years she had to move to medorra and continue her studies there due to her dads business. Medora is half an hour from wellspring and we both barely get the time to visit each other out of town but that never really stopped us from growing close. I mean what better way to use technology these days right? "I transferred here! I begged dad to let me come here and I was convincing for a few months now so here i am! " she gleefully says. Whenever I felt sad and my days got worse she came along and cheered me up. Its who addie is, sort of a ray of sunshine who spreads colour every path she walks. She talks about her day before the bell rings and I clutch my books in my hand when I notice something strange, alot of murmurs are breaking out and everyone has their phones out. I peak into a girls phone and see the news channel's logo from the side but thats all I can see without making it look like im peeping in her phone. Besides the last thing I want is to give these snobbish students a reason to come at me. And I see it and oh how my nerves shoot up meeting his eyes.
