Liam glanced at me with a pale face, but he lowered his head immediately after. Once he recalled my words from our previous exchange his eyes filled with fear. I had a gentle smile as I patted his shoulder. "Chill. I just came to see how you were doing after hearing you woke up."
Liam shuddered lightly and forced out a bitter smile as he replied, "Thank you, sir."
I leaned back in the chair and took a sip of water from the glass that Yael handed me. Liam still refused to meet my gaze and went through an internal struggle before he asked me with caution, "What do you want me to do, sir?"
His words took me aback, but I smiled and said, "I need you to do a lot of things for me, but now isn't the time for that. I'll let you know when the time comes, so recover well until then."
