Helen drove fast thanks to her excellent driving skills and waded through the traffic on the street like a fish in water, moving left and right incessantly to overtake the cars in front of the Jeep Wrangler. I sat silently in the passenger seat and smoked a cigarette while watching the scenery flit past outside the window.
Although Helen was driving, she kept sneaking glances at me now and again, as if she wanted to say something, but in the end kept quiet. She avoided my gaze in fear and turned to look straight ahead as I abruptly turned to face her.
“Why do you keep sneaking glances at me? Just ask me if you’ve got a question for me,” I said with a chuckle.
“If you’re willing, how about you spend the night with me in the hotel, sir?” Helen inquired in a low voice as she gave me a wary
