The leader of the guards finally remembered that he was on home ground and looked at Forrest in disdain, showing no trace of the terror he revealed before. “Heh. This is a real eye-opener!” He strode up to Forrest and said arrogantly, “State your name. I want to see what gives you the gall to make trouble here!”
The guards came back to their senses at the confidence dripping from their leader’s words and broke out into loud laughter.
“Hahahaha. Yeah. I can’t believe someone in Riversun still dares to mess with us.”
“They better not be lunatics who’ve escaped from the asylum.”
“They must be tired of living, so they’ve come asking for death.”
The guards stepped forward with nasty smiles and confronted Forrest’s group with new found rigor.
