Beta Rose P.O.V

This is meant to be our happy moment I look at his body and his face is wrapped in bandages. I can’t help but cry how could someone do this to you, the doctor comes in every now and then to check his vitals and top up his pain meds, I fall asleep in the chair next to my mate holding his hand, Alpha Ryan comes in with a large coffee and breakfast, is it morning already? How is Theodore? I look up at him Theodore? Is that his name? Ryan nods and smiles a me wow, I have always loved the name Theodore ever since I was 7 and Beta Theodore Thomas of Orange Moon asked me to marry him. He was 5 at the time Theodore was Alpha Ryan’s cousin a couple weeks after Theodore and his parents left there was an attack on their pack and by the time are pack got there Ryan’s auntie and uncle were dead and there was no sign of Theodore.

Me and Ryan take turns on watching over Theodore till some of our pack warriors turn up. On the third day I’m walking down the pebble path back to the hospital from the pack house, I have just showered changed and gotten some food. I hear girls talking and I keep walking every time we go to new pack all you hear are the girls talking about how sexy Alpha Ryan is. Yuck it makes me sick, then I stop as I hear one of them say Theodore’s name. She’s saying he was her mate first and she rejected him because she thought he was just some weak ass omega slave that everyone abused she deserved a better mate. She is the daughter of a Beta she should be mated to an Alpha, or a Beta and she would not except anything less. I couldn’t help but laugh this pack is so thick they look over at me and the girl that was talking looked mad as hell. She come’s storming up to me, what are you laughing at? Don’t you know if you reject your mate, you don’t get another one but the mate you reject gets a second chance. Her face was a picture. I smile and walk away.

Getting back to the hospital Ryan is sat in the waiting room. What happened? I went to walk in, Ryan stopped me. They are working on him while you were gone his heart stopped beating and they took him to surgery. I cried all I can do is cry why? Why? Is this happening? I want my mate more than anything. Please please Goddess keep him alive I need him.
