“I bet you a thousand bucks he’ll be asleep in less than half an hour,” Flynn calls out. “I’m not stupid enough to bet against that. Jas, where are you going?” Blake follows him outside. The breeze sweeps over Jasper’s face and cradles him as he steps off the back patio and onto the freshly trimmed lawn. “Blake, have you seen the moon?” Jasper asks as he sinks, in his mind, gracefully to the ground, his gaze fixated on the glowing ball in the pitch-black nothingness of infinity that swallows the night sky. The world looks endless in the dark. The enormity is too much for his brain to fathom, so he closes his eyes and instead concentrates on breathing in the air.
