Amelia POV

The meeting is tomorrow but Chad and I leave tonight because of how far the Royal Pack is from our pack. We decided to take 15 of our warriors, leaving Eric with almost a hundred. Most of our pack members are from packs that never allowed them to train so when they got Here, all they wanted was to become warriors and that is why we have so many.

Before we leave though,I want to have a brief pack meeting to discuss a few things.

"Can everyone meet me in the hall please? I have a few things I would like to say" I announce in the pack link and every one replies with a "Yes Alpha". Chad walks into my office and eyes me suspiciously, "A pack meeting and I dont know about it"? He asks with a raised eyebrow and I chuckle. "I just have a few things to say before we leave alright? Nothing huge" I tell him and head out with him right behind me.

We have a large hall in the middle of the pack with a stage out front so we can have our meetings there and have the whole pack included rather than have meetings with just the elder wolves and not include the pups. They also need to know the important stuff about the pack.

We get to the hall and most of the pack is here and it is a bit noisy in here but everyone goes silent the minute Chad and I stand on the stage.

"Good afternoon Shadow Pack. I know you are all wondering why the sudden meeting but i have some things to share with you all. I k ow there have been some rumors but i am here to put those to rest. Beta Chad has managed to convince the council of elders to allow our pack to be represented at the annual Alpha meeting this year" and the crowd erupts in cheers. This is really big for us considering we are one of the smallest packs around and we are relatively new. This means that maybe they will finally take us seriously.

"Settle down everyone" I say with a smile. Nothing makes me happier than when my pack is happy. "Beta Chad and I will be leaving tonight, because of how far the Royal Pack is and we will be leaving you guys in the loving hands of Gamma Eric". Everyone groans when they hear they are staying with Eric. And it isn't because they do not like him, he is way more stricter than me and Chad so everyone knows this means extra training and less fun for them. But I honestly think they secretly enjoy the extra training.

"How long do we have to stay in hell before you come back Alpha"? One of the warriors asks with a slight smile. "That is an extra 20 laps for you Jay" Eric says and everyone laughs. "Well the meeting is tomorrow so i believe we will be back by Sunday evening. I still want to try and ask the Alpha King to perform the ceremony to make our pack official and give us the Royal blessings". They all talk among themselves a bit before I decide it is time to dismiss them. "I expect nothing but good behavior from everyone. Especially from a certain group of pups that love nothing more than teasing Gamma Eric" I say while eyeing the mini group in the middle of everyone. They have to be the naughtiest pups in the whole pack and enjoy making fun of Eric but he likes it even though he will never admit it to them.

"Alright then. You guys can go now, we will be leaving soon so we have to get ready". They all leave and some mutter a small 'Good luck' and well wishes. We leave and get to putting all our bags in the cars. Chad will be driving with me in my black 2005 Range Rover sport and we have 3 more SUVs for the warriors coming with us. As soon as everything is packed and ready,we get in the cars and drive off.

This is the first time we are are traveling so far ever since our parents died. I have no idea what to expect when we get there so I'm really getting anxious and a bit afraid. I do not know how seriously they will take me being a female Alpha. Not only is that rare; but being the daughter of an Alpha is highly rare. Not many Alphas have girl children. And if they do, it is never as the first born.

"Get some sleep. We still have a long way ahead and you need to rest" Chad says and I nod, jumping to the back seat of the car to try and lay down.

I am woken up by rough a bumping and I realize the sun is almost rising now. "Sorry I woke you, we are on the rockiest road I have ever driven on" Chad says and his voice is a bit raspy and hoarse. "Why didn't you wake me so i can drive"? I ask him and he chuckles. "You were sleeping so peacefully I did not want to disturb you. It is fine though, we are only two hours away from the Royal Pack" he says. I cannot believe I slept that long. "Let me drive the rest of the way. You can rest your eyes a but before we get there". He stops the car so we can change places. I mindlink the warriors letting them know we are just switching places so they do not get worried.

I drive until we see the King's castle coming into view. When we heard we were going to a castle I just simply thought it was just a mansion where the King and his family lived but no, it is an actual castle like the ones in fairytales. There are mini houses all around like a little village and there is a group of warriors training in the field both in human and wolf form. There is a large brown wolf that stands out from the crowd. He is larger than all of these wolves standing at an estimate of 7'. I can't stop staring at him, it is like I'm drawn to him for some reason... and he suddenly stops midfight looking my way. I feel a shiver and suddenly want to know more about that wolf. I do not think he is my mate because if he was, my wolf would be calling out to him.

"Amelia"! Chad shouts while he is shaking my shoulder and I immediately stop the car. "Watch where you are going. You almost crashed us. What is it? What are you looking at"? He asks sounding concerned. "Uhm, it was nothing. I... saw nothing" I say stuttering and he shakes his head. "Alright. We are here anyway, let's go find our rooms". We get out of the car and are met by an elderly woman waiting at the front door.

"Good morning. You must be from the new pack"? She says softly and we go up to her. "Yes we are the Shadow Pack" Chad says and she bows to him. "I am Matilda, the head housekeeper. I will escort you to your rooms so you can rest before the meeting" she says and starts walking away. We follow right behind her and she shows our rooms in the second floor of the castle. "I assume you will be sharing with your mate Alpha"? She says to Chad and we look at each other and laugh. "Uh no ma'am. She is my sister, not my mate" Chad explains and her cheeks immediately go red in embarrassment. "I apologize Alpha".

Somehow, I knew this would happen. Everyone feels that Chad has somewhat a higher rank and then they immediately assume he is the Alpha. But It is fine, I need some time to prepare myself to introduce our pack and the actual Alpha. I am given a pink room that looks like it belongs to a 5 year old, excluding the large 4 poster bed in the middle and the huge dresser.

The meeting starts at 2pm so we have about 5 hours of sleep. 'Kara, wake me up in time yeah'? I say to my wolf and she snorts. 'You make it seem as if you do not have a phone Amelia. Set an alarm'. She says

'Come on. Please wake me up. What if I miss the alarm'? I beg and she grunts. 'Fine'.

I lay on the comfy bed for a few minutes before I remember something. 'Do you know who that wolf was'? I ask her and her ears perk up. 'You mean that gorgeous one'? She asks wiggling her tail and I laugh. 'Yeah. You know who he was'? I ask and she rolls over. 'No. But i like him. He is cute and he tried to communicate with me. But your stupid witchy barriers stopped him'. She explains happily. 'Maybe we will find out who he is later' I say and she giggles.

'He was really cute though'

'No Kara. He is not our mate and even if he was, no boys remember? Not until we get revenge for our parents'.
