The Meeting

Amelia POV

'Hey human...it's time to wake up. We have to go find Wolfie boy' Kara says excitedly. I do not even understand why she wants that wolf, it isn't like he is her mate or anything. 'He does not have to be my mate to be appealing to me. And i can hear your thoughts' she says and i roll my eyes. 'I'm going to get ready. Maybe we'll meet your crush at the meeting, if he is of a higher rank' I tell them then push her to the back of my mind. I need some alone time to prepare for the meeting.

I take a quick shower and put on the dress Talia made for me and I link Chad to find out if he is ready. 'Yes Alpha. We are good to go. As far as I have heard, the Alphas are in the throne room already so we have to go now' He says seriously. He is also nervous and that is why he is being so serious and formal. I leave the bedroom and find him and Matilda waiting at the door. He looks very handsome in his black three piece suit. Chad is a very good looking man; with his 6'3, bulky frame and a set of blue eyes to die for, thick eyebrows and small lips and the most perfectly clear skin. His mate will be one lucky woman.

"Stop staring at me; we are going to be late" he says and gives me his hand. I place my hand in his and we follow Matilda to the throne room which isn't that far as we walked about 5 minutes to reach the door and Matilda halts. "I will be turning back now. Good luck in your meeting" she says and walks away. We stand there for a little while as I try to take deep breaths to calm myself. "You ready"? He asks and I nod. "I have a feeling something big is about to go down. I think that guy is here because I can feel something pulling me in" I tell him and his jaw clenches. "Then lets go inside and find out". He knocks twice before a deep voice shouts "Come in".

Aiden POV

We had been sitting in the throne room when I suddenly felt my wolf getting uneasy and I felt goosebumps all over my body. Something is calling me out the door... Something or someone is coming in and it is making Cian very anxious. 'We need to find out who that is' Cian says to me. 'No. We can't just leave, it would be disrespectful to the King. We'll find out what's going on after the meeting' I tell him and try to push him to the back of my mind but it's hard. He seems...desperate and it is confusing. Cian is usually calmer than me but now he is getting aggressive and wants to know what's behind that door.

"Control your wolf Blackheart. Every one can feel him trying to get out" Alpha Killian says and I bare my neck in submission. "Yes Alpha". The last thing I want is to disrespect him; I have too much respect for this man. His son? Not so much. My father looks at me with concern and he links me. 'What is wrong with you'? He asks and I shake my head. Melissa holds my hand in effort to calm me down but it does not work. Cian does not like her very much, he wants to wait for our mate.

"Why are we still waiting My King? Shouldn't the meeting start already"? My father asks and Alpha Killian turns to look at him. "We are waiting for the Shadow Pack Alpha and Beta" he says and my father snorts. "They are being disrespectful if you ask me. Their very first Alpha meeting but they are late"? All the other Alphas mumble their agreement. "There must be a good reason why they are late. Settle down, all of you" He says and there is a knock on the door. "Come In" Alpha Killian says.

The door opens revealing a guy that is probably around my age in a three piece suit looking all serious but what draws me in is the girl coming in right behind him. She has to be the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She is probably around 5'6 in height, she has on an emerald green off shoulder tight waist flowy dress with sequins that reaches her ankles and has her dark red hair hanging loose over her bare shoulders. She has pouty lips covered in a lipstick that matches her hair and a mole right next to her upper lip and has the most beautiful dark brown eyes.

'She is amazing. I want her' Cian says and that wakes me up from the trance I'm in and I realize they are now at the table. 'She has a man. Can't you see that'? I ask him getting a bit irritated for some reason. 'I can't smell her. Why can't I smell her'? He asks and only then I realize what he means. She has no scent.

"Apologies for being late Alpha. We don't mean any disrespect" the guy says and Alpha Killian stands up from his throne. "Oh no. I know how these ladies take their time" he says extending his hand to the guy. They shake hands and he kisses the girl's hand as she bows to him. "Pardon me Alpha" she says and Alpha Killian smiles at her. "Its alright my child" he says and shows her their seats.

"Alright. Seeing as we have a new pack joining us can every Alpha stand and introduce themselves, the new Alpha will introduce himself last" The King says and everyone does that. My father stands when it is his turn. "Alpha John Blackheart here. This is my son, Aiden Blackheart and his beautiful mate,Melissa Jones" he says and the guy nods while the girl looks between me and Melissa and I think I might have seen sadness flash in her eyes but i might be wrong.

They both stand up and the guy speaks first. "I am Beta Chad Smith from the Shadow Pack" he says and my father laughs. "Beta? Are you joking? Your Alpha is so disrespectful that he sent you and your pretty girlfriend instead of coming"?

They look at each other before the girl turns to look at my father. "Alpha Blackheart, it would be nice to pay attention you know"? She says and suddenly I am engulfed with the most enticing and alluring scent that is a mixture of roses and cherry. She releases her aura and everyone in the room except King Killian bares their neck in submission. "I am Amelia Shadow. The Alpha of Shadow Pack. Nice to meet you" She says almost growling with a very hot smirk on her beautiful face. "Let them breathe Alpha" King Killian says and immediately her aura changes back to the calm timid girl that walked in her. Cian claws in my head trying to get out and I try to hold him back and we struggle back and forth until he wins and growls ferociously. I am pushed to the back of my own mind and I see her stare and Cian and her eyes start changing color from dark brown to a fiery red until they settle at red. Her wolf has control now.

"Mate" Cian says and everyone gasps. Amelia's wolf chuckles dryly and she tilts her head. "No. Your mate is right next to you little Blackheart" she says and sits back down. "No" Cian growls and King Killian stands up and growls at him to stop. "If you do not give back the control to your human we will have a problem pup" he says and Cian tries to argue but he knows better than to go against his king. I feel him retreat to the back of my mind and Melissa pulls me to sit back down next to her. I pull my hand away from her but i sit down next to her.

"Good. Now everything is settled, shall we go on"? Alpha Killian asks and the meeting goes on, we discuss a bunch of useless stuff until the King looks to us. "I hear your mating ceremony is coming up son. When is it"? I feel a lump in my throat and I can't talk but Melissa answers for me. "We were hoping to do it May 23rd, if you will have the time on that day My King" she says and he shakes his head. "My son is having his ceremony on the same day. Unfortunately, we cant change it. So I will not be available on the day" He says and crosses his arms. "Well we'll change the date then My King" Melissa says and he nods. "Let me know then" the King says and she nods.

"Anyone else have anything to say"? The King asks and my father stands. "Yes my King, I do not think it is fitting for a pack to be run by a female. The pack is doing well, so i think my King can find a suitable leader for the Pack, someone more...fitting" He says and Chad chuckles. "Well it certainly did not seem like I was unfitting when i released my aura and you were ready to submit like a good pup" Amelia says and my father growls at her. "Watch how you speak to me pup" she stands up and starts staring back at him, each of them trying to show the other who is in charge and I see my father back off a bit. She is one powerful woman. "Alright that's enough. Alpha Shadow has every right to run her pack until there is a formal Alpha challenge, which cannot be issued unless anyone deems her unfit and has any valid reason. Her being a female does not mean anything. Alpha Shadow, did you have anything to add"? The King asks and she smiles at him.

"I was hoping our pack be made official My King. We are just a pack by name until it has gotten your blessing" she says softly and I notice she is able to look at him directly in the eye, which is something no one has ever been able to do before. That is a bit...interesting to say the least. "Why of course my dear. We will have that done as soon as possible" she smiles and thanks him. "One more thing, would you like to discuss this mate issue"? The King asks and Amelia shakes her head. "Not right now Alpha. I'm afraid my wolf won't be nice" she says and he nods.

"Right then. You are all dismissed for now. I assume everyone will be at dinner this evening"? Everyone agrees and they all start walking out. "Lets go" Melissa says, pulling my arm and I push her off. "I will find you later" I say and she holds me tighter and I can feel her claws coming out. "You will not embarrass me here. Let. Us. Go. Now" She says with gritted teeth and I was about to argue when I realized Amelia was gone. Guess I will talk with her later.
