Amelia POV

Jonathan and I had a really long chat last night about almost everything. I explained every single detail about myself and this whole mating issue. I truly did not expect the reaction I got from him. He was so sweet and calm about everything and told me he would stand by my side throughout everything and support every decision I make. If it was not for the resemblance, I would have never thought he was Aiden's brother.

Speaking of which, I need to tell him I found my other mate. I already told Jonathan who my other mates were and he is kind of okay with it.

He did say he did not think Aiden would be very happy to share his mate with him because they have never had to share anything before. Apart from the looks and the last name. He made it out as a joke but the look on his face said he was being serious and he looked pained, but he tried to hide it under a mask. I honestly feel sad for him, no one should be sidelined simply because his mother is omega. Everyone should be treated equally with respect, no rank is more important than the other.

I walk around the pack house looking for Aiden. He is not in his room and one of the house staff said he was around here somewhere. I find Justin in the living room and pull his hair playfully. "If you were not Alpha I would tackle you right now. But I love my life so I'll let you go" he says rubbing his head. "Just admit it, you are afraid of Aiden" I say to him smugly and he rolls his eyes. "Nah. He does not scare me that much" he says and we both laugh. "Have you seen him anywhere"?

His eyes glaze over for a little bit before he refocuses on me. "He says he is in his cabin. Want me to take you there"? He asks and I nod. "Please" I say as he gets up. "Piggy back ride"? He asks and I jump on him before he walks out with me on his back. A lot of people stand and stare at us but Justin pays them no attention and just keeps walking. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the cabin and I can instantly smell Aiden's scent. Justin knocks on the door and we can hear footsteps before the door is opened.

"What the hell are you doing on Justin's back"? He growls and we just laugh at him. "Calm down Alpha. As your gamma, it is my job to take care for and protect your Luna, this is me making sure she does not have to walk, like the Princess she is" Justin states and Aiden shakes his head. "Fine. You can go now" he says and I get off Justin's back and he leaves but not before bowing to me. I walk inside the wooden cabin, that feels so warm and homey on the inside. "Can you please release your scent"? Aiden says from behind me and I release it.

He sniffs the air and sighs in content. "Why are you hiding in here"? I ask him and he chuckles. "I'm not hiding princess. I just needed some time to think" he says and I turn to look at him. "About"? I ask. He stands there and smiles. "I want us to be together. Which is why i have decided to announce to the whole pack that i will no longer be mating Melissa. I want everyone to know you are my mate" he tells me, with a beautiful smile on his face.

"Can we talk first? I have to tell you something" I say and watch as the smile on his face drops slowly. "I found my third mate. I have had an idea who he was for a little bit but now it has been confirmed" I explain. "Who"? He asks, sounding impatient and angry. "Before I tell you and you freak out, please understand that there has to be a reason why he is my mate. The Goddess is never wrong, she knows what she is up to" I tell him and he chuckles dryly.

"Who"? He says glaring at me. "Jonathan. Your brother" I say as he visibly pales and widens his eyes. He then starts laughing, leaving me confused before looking at me amused. "You are not funny Amelia" he says, wiping the sweat on his forehead. "I'm not trying to be funny Aiden. I talked to him last night" I tell him with an eyeroll. He stops laughing and stares at me. "Be serious" he says and I cross my arms around my chest. "I am being serious. Your brother is my third mate. I don't know why nor do I understand but i will not question the Goddess".

Aiden scoffs before walking out of the cabin, leaving me alone. I run after him but he is gone by the time I get outside. He must have used his vampire speed, which I could use as well but i don't really want to. 'Maybe you should. What if he is hurting Jonathan'? Kara says sounding panicked and I start to run towards the pack house, hoping I get there before Aiden can hurt Jonathan. I stop running once I get to the front door and I walk in, looking around the house as I walk.

I bump into someone and before I apologize, she starts screaming at me. "How dare You? Coming into MY house trying to take MY man and MY title and now your are trying to run me over"? Melissa screeches. "I am just trying to find Aiden, I did not see you there. Sorry" I say trying to go around her and she pushes me back. "Melissa. Move out if my way" I tell her as calmly as possible. She folds her arms and smirks. "And if I don't"? She asks, moving closer to me. "I do not want to hurt you simply because you were sleeping with MY mate. He and I were made for each other and you are just his bed warmer" I say and hear gasps behind me.

A lot of people have gathered around us and now the corridor feels cramped. "Fine then. Let's settle this. I want to challenge you to a fight, if you win, I will let Aiden go. But when I win, I keep Aiden And your little pack" she says, sounding too proud and too sure of herself. "And what makes you think I will accept? I am an Alpha. The only daughter of one of the most powerful Alpha couples. Not only that, I am the only living tribrid and you are.....just a beta's daughter. You are bound to lose" I tell her, the crowd gasping at my choice of wording.

"I will m.urder you" she says gritting her teeth. "No. You won't. Get our of my way Melissa or you will regret it" I say, my voice growing more and more powerful with each word. I can feel Kara getting very angry and Melissa's eyes suddenly get wider and she moves away. Someone in the crowd whispers, "Look at her eyes" and I easily guess, my eyes have turned red, showing that my wolf is on the surface and she is not happy.

I walk up the stairs and can immediately hear grunting and groaning and things being broken in a nearby room. I run in there and Jake is standing there watching Aiden and Jonathan fight. The i.diot is even eating popcorn and laughing. "Stop it you two"! I shout but no one listens to me. I start to feel anger build up inside of me and I scream with my eyes closed. "STOP"! and suddenly the room goes quiet. I am breathing heavily and I don't really understand why. Screaming is not hard work so why am I so tired? "Amelia? Open your eyes" Jake says and I do as he says.

I look around to see Jonathan and Aiden each hanging from the ceiling, but nothing is holding them there. They are both choking on air and clawing at their necks trying to remove the invisible rope holding them up. "A...Amelia...Stop" Aiden says out of breath. I start to panic because I don't even know how any of this is happening and Jonathan breaths in harshly before saying, "try...try cl...closing your hands and take a deep breath". I do as he says and try to calm myself down, closing my eyes as I breathe in and out. I hear loud thumps as they both fall and I open my eyes to see them both breathing hard.

I am confused and don't know which one of them to check on, afraid the other will feel otherwise and i.diot Jake starts laughing. "You are one lethal woman. How on earth did you do that"? He asks while still laughing and I glare at him. He goes quiet immediately, but still has a smile on his face. "Don't give me those fancy blue eyes of yours" he mutters. "What blue eyes"? I ask and he furrows his brows. "You really dont know what you are doing right? Your eyes are blue right now" he says and I look around for a mirror.

I find one in the bathroom and I am shocked to see that my eyes are shining a sapphire blue. 'Kara? How did we do that'? I ask her and she shakes her head. 'I don't know' the wolf says. I feel sparks on my arms as Jonathan hugs me from behind, kissing my head with his eyes closed and that instantly calms me down. "I am sorry" I say and he shakes his head. "You have nothing to be sorry for" he says gently turning me around to look at him. "Come on" he says pulling me back to the room. Aiden looks at me with a pained expression but looks at his brother with a glare.

"How did you do that"? Jake asks looking at Jonathan. "Do what"? He asks and Jake laughs. "You were able to calm her. How"? Jake asks, clearly amused. "I don't know. It just happened" Jonathan says, not liking the attention. "I need air" Aiden says walking out. "Aiden wait" I say but he does not listen and this time, I don't follow him. "Let him go. I want you to meet someone" Jonathan says with a hopeful smile and I don't have the heart to turn him down.

We leave the house, everybody staring at us and some whispering to each other making me feel very uncomfortable. "Don't mind them. They always have something to say about others as if they dont have their own problems" Jonathan says and I get the vibe that he is speaking from experience. Just, how badly has he and his mother been treated in this pack? I did not have to wait that long to get an answer, because we approach an old, run down cabin in the middle of the woods with a cute garden on the side. A short woman is standing there, watering the plants. How could John let the mother of his son live in a place like this?

"What happened now? Your father did not touch you again did he"? She asks, still not facing us and I realize that she did not notice that Jonathan brought someone with him because I masked my scent. Again. "Mother, not in front of our guest" Jonathan says and she turns around and widens her eyes when she sees me. "I did..I didn't realize you brought a friend" she says wiping her hands on her dress. "I am sorry. I have a very bad tendency of masking my scent" I apologize guiltily. She nods slowly still looking at me in shock.

"Mother, this is Amelia. My mate. Amelia, this is my mother Mary" Jonathan says with a smile and Mary covers her mouth with her hand. "You found your mate"? She says, tears filling her eyes. She comes to hug Jonathan, squeezing him and then she looks at me, "Can I hug You"? She asks and I nod. The hug is gentle and warm, reminding me of my own mother's hugs. "Come inside you two. I'll make tea" she says as she lets me go and we follow her inside. The inside is pretty clean and decent but the walls look like they will fall any minute now. Jonathan shows me some of the pictures on the wall while his mother gets the tea.

As we are looking at the photos, something catches my eye and to say I'm shocked, would be putting it mildly. There is a picture of two young girls, I'm guessing around 18/19 years of age. One of the girls is Jonathan's mother and the other, is my mother. I feel someone shaking me and I look at Jonathan, then his mother. "How did you know my mother"? I ask, my voice breaking and she creases her forehead, but then notices the picture I am looking at and she opens her mouth in shock. "Meredith is your Mother"? She asks and I nod. She drops the cup in her hand as tears fall from her eyes. She starts shaking and Jonathan grabs her and takes her to the couch, placing her there. "Mom? What happened"? He asks her and she cannot speak as she keeps crying.

I go into the kitchen and get a glass of water bringing it back and handing it to Jonathan. He helps her drink the water and only then, she calms down. "I am so sorry. I should not have asked" I say and she shakes her head. "I wanted to ask you who your parents were. You look so much like your mother" she says with a sad smile. "I do not think she will be very happy with knowing you are mated to Jonathan" She says and Jon and I look at each other. "Why"? I ask and she motions for me to sit. Jon comes to sit next to me, holding my hand. His mother looks at our intertwined hands and smiles.

"Your mother and I used to be best friends. Almost like sisters. She even used to live with me and my parents at some point" Mary says. You can tell memories are making their way through her head as she speaks. "I made a mistake one night. I slept with Alpha John not knowing he was Meredith's mate and conceived Jonathan" she explains leaving me shook. John was my mother's mate? How? "No that's impossible. My father was my mother's mate" I say with conviction. "Your mother was a hybrid, and as such, she had two mates. She was supposed to choose between them or find a way to make it work with both of them but my falling pregnant convinced her to stay with Drake. That is your father right"? She asks and I nod slowly.

Now it all makes sense. I have three mates because I am a tribrid, mom had two mates because she was a hybrid. But why would John k.ill his own mate? "She won't allow this. She hates me and will not be happy that you are mated to my son" Mary says sadly. "Mom passed away ten years ago. Both she and dad. How did you not know this"? I ask as she sobs. "Your parents' pack was not associated with everyone else so no one would know something happened unless they are of higher rank" she says in between sobs. We try to calm her down and eventually she does calm down, hugging me tightly and I start to cry. A million thoughts and questions are going through my head right now and I don't have the answers but I know who does. And he will give me answers.

Jonathan and I leave his mother's house after Jon complained about not knowing what to do with two crying women and his mother started telling us stories about her and my mother growing up. "We almost became half siblings" he says after a long time of silence. I stop walking and stare at him in disbelief. "That's all you can think of"? I ask laughing at him. "I was going to get another mate. Who knows how she would have been? I cannot imagine being mated to someone else,and I almost was"! He whines and I can't stop laughing, even my tummy starts hurting. He stands there looking at me completely unfazed. He clearly can't see what's funny and that makes it even more funnier.

I stop laughing after a while and wrap my arms around his waist. "I like you. You are sweet, kind and funny. Plus you know how to calm me down when I'm all witchy and angry" I tell him and he starts blushing. "I like you too. Even though you almost became my sister" he says seriously. "But I like you with your angry witchy side. Heck, i like your vampire side as well. You are everything to me" he says kissing my forehead. This all feels so natural with him. I mean, yes I found Aiden first but I feel like I connect more with Jonathan. And i like that.

'Alpha. Beta Chad called' Jake says pushing through the mindlink. I groan in annoyance and Jon looks at me scared. "Sorry. Jake just linked me" I tell him and he sighs in relief. 'What did he want'? I ask. 'Papa Vamp and Nanna Witch arrived a day early. We are needed back at the pack'.
