CHAPTER 3 For the next three years, the boys continued their riding. Cole rode in front of George and Cory rode in front of Clay. As they aged, they did not need the harness to ride. The boys quickly learned to balance in front of their riders. They even learned the correct way to hold the reins. Both boys were natural riders. It was an exciting time for them. Cole continued to interact with Frankie. Frankie met Cole at the fence without Francis most days. Frankie was growing fast, and Francis did not stay so close anymore. Cole was not allowed to visit the horse corral without Alice or his Dad. Sometimes, he had both with him. Cory was hardly ever seen without his Frankie.
