Lilly - Take Over

She had fallen asleep that night with the book in her hands, her mind dreaming. She was in a dark room she couldn't see anything this was normal, she opened her mouth to call out but no sound escaped except a growl. She felt confused, but through the darkness she felt a presence a grey wolf, female she looked large and powerful. Her eyes were captivating a gold colour like no other eyes Lilly had seen before. The wolf yawned and stretched showing her large teeth, the wolf circled Lilly as if it were sizing her up to pounce. 

“I have been waiting for your awakening” Lilly frowned the wolf's mouth didn't move to speak it was as if the sound was coming from in her own mind. She was dreaming of course this is what you get for reading before bed. She had dreams like this before being in a dark room the feeling of being watched, but never had anything showed itself.

“Who are you" Lilly spoke to the wolf crouching down. She didn't feel in danger why would she it's just a dream.

“I am your wolf Lilly I am gifted to you through your blood from the moon goddess. I'm to be your protector and friend we will share a life together. My name is Dark Eyes” 

With that Lilly c****d her head to the side looking over the wolf. She was beautiful but what did she mean, we will share a life would she become my pet? The wolf came closer Lilly felt a restriction a tiredness like she was about to fall asleep. Darkness consumed her eyes the last she remembered was the wolf's apologetic tone. “I'm going for a run, now I'm free I need to get out” 

Being on two legs was a little different but the body knew how to move. Dark Eyes made sure to be quiet as she moved through the house she didn't want to wake the other human. Dark Eyes knew who he was she had been awake but docile for two years now pushed down by Lilly's ignorance to the world around her. She moved gracefully down the stairs and out of the door. She didn't put on shoes or care she was in shorts, and a tank top that Lilly had put on to sleep. She just wanted to run, and she did she loved the breeze flowing through her long hair. Her gold eyes glowed in the darkness she could see everything. She wanted to shift she kept asking her body to let her shift let her out. It refused Lilly wasn't ready, but she was close her birthday was soon two days until the full moon. 

Dark Eyes run through town to the far side to where there was a forest and trees. Her hands touched the bark she knew the forest well, although she had no control over Lilly before she had always made her want to run in the forest it made them both feel free. Tonight was different, tonight Dark Eyes had control she rubbed herself upon the tree her instincts told her to do so. A twig cracked in the distance Dark Eyes head snapped up, she couldn't see anything, but she could smell something. 

She could smell dog, grass, dirt, and trees, it was the dog smell that got her as she knew she wasn't alone. She crouched down and waited she knew what this body could do, she didn't want to run and stimulate a chance and hunt. Her eyes then made contact with a pair of black eyes they belonged to a young male maybe around the same age. He was well-built and muscular he was handsome for sure but his eyes were black. He just wore shorts the rest of his body was exposed to nature. The two creatures stopped to look at each other both with fascination. It was a short while before anything changed they just looked and waited for who would make the first move.

“What are you" The male voice came into Dark Eyes mind. It made her jump, but she composed quickly as she spotted his smug smile. How did he do that? His tone was assertive but held curiosity. Dark Eyes spoke out loud as she wasn't sure what else to do.

“ I'm a wolf gifted by the moon goddess.” He looked shocked by her response for a moment before he composed himself once more. She told him what she was as by his eyes she knew he couldn't be human. She knew some of her life, the rules, and what was expected of her but in some areas she was blind. Like how was he inside her head. 

His mouth didn't open he just looked at her closely " Don't lie to me, I have never seen eyes like yours gold. A wolf should be black or red. Where did you come from? “ 

She frowned she didn't like his tone and his insult. She was a wolf, and no stranger would tell her otherwise. 

“ I told you I am a wolf my name is Dark Eyes” He was asking many questions, why did he want to know so much. She felt at risk she was strong but couldn't shift not yet. She needed to get away and quickly, as if he could read her mind he stepped forward closing the space between them. He grabbed her arm tightly.

“Your not going anywhere I need to know what you are and where the hell you came from” he leaned in and took a strong inhale of breath. He had a soft expression on his face then wrinkled his nose. 

Dark Eyes moved quickly like Lilly had been taught she brought her free arm down onto his that had been holding her, she heard a satisfying crunch as he let go. She pushed him back, and he fell crashing into the mossy forest floor. He looked up at her for a moment in shock, she didn't see what happened next as she was running. Running fast like the whole world around her was in slow motion. She didn't know how she did it, but she was home in seconds. Well tonight was interesting she thought to herself as she rubbed her arm. It was red no doubt she would be bruised in the morning.
