I simple pointed to the only reflect surface I could see, a shield that was between the portraits. When she look at the shield, her admittedly saw her eyes causing her to gasp while covering her mouth.             “LAURAN!” My father’s voice rang throughout the library. In all my life, I do not remember him ever yelling at any of our family. When he reach us, his brown hair had looked to have lost color, as though it had turn gray in just under an hour. His hazel eyes looked drained of a great debate. But the look on his face when he saw that mother and I were together was a relief I don’t plan to ever forget. It was like his whole world was discovered to have just survived close call with a mentor.             When mother turned to look at father, my brothers arrived, looking just as relieved as father. Then everyone seemed to notice mother’s eyes. “Mom?” The voice belonged to my youngest brother, Beck.             Mina, female’s carry the blood line. Meaning your mother’s wolf is finally breaking free to be the lycan she has always been.             “Well that’s just great. Can’t we deal with one issue at a time?” My family looked at me, because even after five years, I have yet to learn to not speak to Avye aloud when it comes to important things.             You should announce your first alpha. So that your family will shift before the rest of the pack.             “But Paul is already the active Alpha of this pack.” I turned away from my family, that way they understood I wasn’t speaking to them, just letting them in on what is going on for once.             You are the Queen of this pack. This pack will have no choice but to obey you. You will need to have a second in command, the Alpha under you.             “Oh.” I turn to look at my family. “Then my alpha of this pack will remain Paul.” I look to Paul, seeing him blink, like his eyes were burning. And with each blink his dark green eyes turned blue.             Let me take a moment to say, yes this does seemed rushed, like maybe I could have left something out, but I haven’t. Everything since midnight everything just moved so fast. It was like if I blinked I would have missed everything.             The rest of the night was spent with mother explain who, or rather what our family, our pack is. That was after we went back to our floor and changed out of our ball clothes, and piled into our parent’s room. I remember during mother’s explosion that each of my brothers’ eyes had been turning blue, father’s turned after I declared Paul my alpha. By the time the sun broke, we were all sleeping. Dad and mom on the bed, beck on the chair, I was on the couch, Paul on the window seat, Joe and Zac were on the floor. ~~~             It was the sun that woke me. I guess I knew my life wasn’t going to be the same, but in this moment, I felt like a kid again. We would pile into our parent’s room for story nights, or because there was a bad storm. It was the only time father wouldn’t leave to take care of the pack.             Soon enough, Joe and Paul woke up after me. I watched as panic crossed their faces. This had been the first time either of them had been away from their wife. Once they took note of where they were, they quickly left for their own room. I smiled, at them, before wondering if I would ever be like that with my mate. After all, I was different from my family. I had to reject any mate with the condition they prove their worth to rule over all wolves.             Though my mate was the King of the werewolves, that didn’t mean he was going to be able to rule over all wolves. Lycans and wolves are similar but very different. I heal in the blink of an eye. I have to eat more, but I also have to eat healthy. If I eat more than a serving of junk food, I become sick for day or two. I have to train harder than a were, because if I don’t I can lose control faster. In my family, I had the best control because of how hard I would train with my follow keepers. I was the unspoken leader of my unofficial pack.             At the thought of them going into the human world without me, it almost broke my heart. I stood up, needing to go for my morning run. Maybe that would clear my head or at least it would give Avye time to talk about what all mother had told us as well why our mate bond was so different from what I have seen.
