Samantha's POV
"Alaric..." I called, my voice barely above a whisper. The moment the door had opened, the night's breeze swept his scent strongly across me. I had to hold steady because I felt so lightheaded, and his eyes mirrored my feelings. We both stared at each other, just frozen, lost in our gazes.
"Where's Adrian?" I asked, blinking and snapping out of his ensnaring eyes, those beautiful and irresistible eyes of his. He blinked too, as if returning to reality.
"He's asleep," he answered, but his eyes never dropped. His stares were always intense. I knew as an Alpha, eye contact asserted dominance, so he was used to doing it. I didn't have a problem having eye contact with any other person, but when it came to Ric, it was difficult.
