Samantha's POV
I tried not to panic; this was a matter that needed quick action.
"Adrian, can you give us a few minutes? I need to speak with Alpha Alaric. Is that okay with you?" I asked, and despite the worry on his face, he nodded. I looked at Dr. Adams and smiled at him. Adrian turned to follow him but returned just to grab my hair and kiss me on the forehead.
"I love you, Mommy, please be fine." I looked at him with teary eyes until he left with Doctor Adams. Once they were gone, I wiped my eyes of tears and turned to look at Alaric, who seemed to have been lost watching me.
"You must feel so lucky to have him as your son. I can see he loves you very much," he said, and I nodded, smiling as well. My heart was filled with pride for Adrian.
