Samantha's Pov
I went to bed with Ric's words echoing in my mind. To think that a simple apology could erase all the pain I had to endure all those years was an audacity no one should have.
Not a single explanation as to why and yet he had the nerves to say sorry? There was no need demanding an explanation, I didn't want anything that would lead to us talking about Adrain, it was only a matter of time before that question popped up and I guess he was looking for a smooth way in.
In the morning, I decided to go for a run. I had packed my hair up in a ponytail, wore my track suit that hugged my body perfectly then went into the field where other members of the pack were having their personal training.
