Samantha's POV
"I'll see you later in the day," I said, biting my lip when I found his gaze lingering on it. Then his eyes went down to my toes, which were twisting from the overwhelming surge of sensation I got from him.
He chuckled, and embarrassment washed over me. It made me feel as though we were teenagers once again, reliving memories of my shy days around him.
"Sure," he simply said, but I could see the way his lips twitched, like he was trying to hold back his amusement. He could see how clearly affected I was by him, how shy he made me. This time I couldn't hide it by being antagonistic.
