Instantly, I couldn't even speak, the euphoria of my affection for him overriding my control of movement.
"Dr. Adams," Alaric said, striding into the room. Adams looked at me with that amused gaze while I just stared fixedly at the walls, whereas my vision was blurred with images of us last night and this morning.
"Alpha Ric, what brings you here?" Adams said, and he cleared his throat, signaling me to turn around, which I forced my feet to do.
