"I figured you would say that and I don't blame you. He said you would no longer become Alpha if you don't return."

"Fine. I would like to join this pack if you'd have me." Josh asked

"And me. I go where he goes Grandpa." Nicole put her hand on his.

"There lies my predicament. You, young lady, are technically the next Alpha to this pack." Everyone was silent for a moment like a mini standoff.

"Unless my father wakes up right?" They hadn't talked about her father at all.

Alpha Giest was silent and just looked at her for a good long while and her eyes never waivered from him.

"How did you know about him?" He was shocked.

"I can sense he is here." She lied to cover for Sabrina.

"Follow me. It's time we had this conversation. " He stood up towering over the both of them.

They followed him through a secret door hidden by a bookcase. It was a long walk and she felt like they going down into the ground. He stopped at a door "We will talk more about this in here. I never know if there are ears anywhere." He whispered as he opened the door.

Nicole walked in and saw the room was filled with what seemed like his things all around him. There was a nurse that was stretching him and Alpha excused her and she quickly scattered out of the room.

Nicole walked up to the edge of the bed and looked down at the man that was in the picture with her as a baby. She felt so many things at that moment thinking of Uncle when told her so many times how they had died heros serving the poor. She remembered playing with dolls and pretended he was really with her. Tears breached her eyes and she didn't try to hide them. "Is my mother alive?" She didn't look away from her father.

"We don't know. We looked for her but it was like she just disappeared into thin air." She heard the truth in his voice.

She closed her eyes and touched his hand to see if she could see anything. He was dark inside, Nakita tried to call out and didn't hear anything at first. The she heard the faintest whisper but couldn't make it out.

She really focused on that sound harnessing all of Nakita to do it. It was like nothing else in the world existed except that sound.

Then a flutter of pictures flashed in her mind. Too fast at first to see and then they slowed down and stopped on a picture of a bridge. Nicole focused on the bridge, took in every detail. Then she heard "Help me" and it was voice that was very familiar to her and she wanted so badly to run after the voice or at least run in the direction of the voice.

She let go of her father's hand and she returned to herself. "I need a peice of paper and a pencil." She walked over to the nurses area and searched finding what she needed. She started to scribble with her eyes closed she could see that bridge. Her hands traced the bridge in her mind, tho crudely, it was every detial even the background.

Josh and Geist just watched her in amazement. "What did you see babe?"

Nicole showed them the picture she drew "Is this familiar to either of you?"

"It's the bridge in the picutre with just the man standing on that bridge in old time cloths." Josh sounded excited.

Nicole looked at it "Yes it is! I think this is how we get to the Lycan world. This must be where the portal is."

"Well where is it?" Giest asked.

"I think we need to go look better at that picture. When I looked over the cliff wondering what in the heck; I saw that the clouds moved ever so slightly different than the clouds around them." Nicole started moving towards the door.

Alpha Giest stopped her and she turned and looked at him "What cliff?"

Nicole knew it was time to tell him everything no matter how it might change things.
