Chapter Thirteen

1005 Words
Sitting at the large dining room table, I stared at the two woman that sat across from one another. I dismissed the maids as they quickly ran out of the dining room obviously not wanting to be in the same room. Carter stared at Rayne as Rayne stared at the plate that sat in front of her.  Clearing my throat, I spoke. "Behaving like this isn't going to help us. We need to think!"  "Think about what?" Carter asked. "She's the end of your world. You should be the main one worried!"  "Carter, she doesn't even want to cause the end of the world! She's fighting against her father!"  "He knows about you both!" Rayne exclaimed. "Regardless, he's going to try and use you both. He knows who you are, where you are, and what you look like! He won't hesitate to work hard and use the both of you to make sure that he takes over everywhere so we need to work together."  Carter scoffed before slapping her plate off of the table. "We wouldn't be in this situation if you would've told us what you were from the beginning. You said you were the ruler of hell but you never said you were the damn Antichrist!"  Rather than staying quiet, Rayne stood up and pointed her finger directly at Carter. "I never said anything because of a reaction like this! Let's not pretend that we all don't have a dark side!"  "It is still nothing compared to being the end of the goddamn world!"  "Guys." I warned. I could feel the anger in me slowly rising. I sat back and closed my eyes as I tapped my foot impatiently as a way to calm myself down.  Ignoring me, Rayne continued. "You think I wanted this? I lived a normal life up until this s**t happened! I'm doing everything in my power to stop this world from ending and I've been doing pretty good so far!"    "Do you not understand?" Carter screamed. "As the Antichrist, you appear right before the end of the world!"  "Enough!" I exclaimed. I slammed my fist on the table causing all of the plates of food to hit the floor. "Arguing isn't helping us one bit. We need to work together and figure out how to stop this!" Carter and Rayne stared at me before sitting back down.  "What do you have in mind?" Carter mumbled.  "He's here." Rayne started. "My father is walking this Earth so I know he has something planned. He's met you both so he's going to do whatever he can to use you or your loved ones!"  "My loved ones aren't here." Carter said.  "So he will try to use you." Rayne revealed. "Not only does the world need protection but we need it as well."  "We need a team!" I suggested.  "I'm glad you're all here!" I heard a voice say. Turning around, Hope stood in the doorway with an exhausted look on her face. "A team is a great idea because you're all going to need it."  "How?" Rayne asked. "I'm not bringing anyone from hell. Ruler or not, they're demons." Hope pushed the door open a little wider as a woman entered the room. She looked around the palace in amazement as the three of us stood up and stared at her in confusion. Hope followed behind the girl and closed the door behind her.  "This is Ororo." She introduced. Ororo turned faced us and smiled softly.  Shaking my head, "Our kingdom was just attacked. I'm not going to ask citizens to fight."  Ororo stared at me in confusion. "You do not rule me."  Carter walked forward and pushed me behind her as she stared at the girl in front of us. "Watch it, Oreo! You're living in her kingdom now so respect your Queen!"  Hope cleared her throat. "Ororo is of royalty. She was the Queen of her own country before marrying King Noah of Gideon."  "What is that?" Rayne asked.  "It is a country filled with different beings and the country that I rule alongside my husband." Ororo explained.  "It's also dimension three." Hope finished. Carter turned faced Rayne and I as we sighed heavily and sat back in our chairs.  "Come in!" I exclaimed. I pointed towards the door as it opened only for a man to stand there with his fist up as he prepares to knock.  "This is King Noah." Hope introduced.  "What's your powers?" Rayne asked sounding bored.  "King of Wolves." Noah answered causing all three of our eyes to widen.  "Queen of Vampires." Ororo stated.  Carter looked over at Rayne before shooting her a look as Rayne nodded her head in agreement. Carter stood up from her chair and made her way towards the door.  "Where are you going?" I asked.  "Another dimension?" Carter asked. "There's only one person who can determine if there's more out there."  "Who?" Rayne asked.  Carter sighed. "Zion. I'll be back." She said before exiting the room.  "I welcome you both to Runne! My apologies that we have to meet like this." I introduced. "I am Queen Raine but please call me Journee!"  "It's nice to meet you!" Ororo said.  "Do you think you'll be able to bring more of your kind over to fight? We'll need a team." I asked.  "Of course!" Noah replied.  Rayne stood up. "Great. We'll need it!"  "I'll show you both to your rooms. I'm sure you're exhausted. We can finish this discussion tomorrow."  As I walked towards the door, I could hear Rayne gasp. I stopped in my tracks and turned faced her as she stood in the same exact spot with wide eyes.  I quickly walked over to her before slowly placing my hand on her shoulder. Rayne looked at me sadly.  "Are you okay?"  "He thanked me." She mumbled.  "Who? Your father?" I asked.  She nodded. "He said that he found the perfect person to end it all and would be seeing me soon." Sighing heavily, I turned to Hope. "Carter."
