Before anyone could say anything, a loud crash was hard from all around causing us to jump up in panic. Hope walked over towards the window and looked out before shaking her head. Turning around, she speedily walked towards me and grabbed my hands carefully.
"I don't know what is going on out there but it isn't looking good and I have a feeling that it has something to do with you." She revealed.
I stared at her in confusion. "What?"
Carter and Rayne stood in the window of the balcony and looked out as I could hear shouting and crashing noises. Hope turned towards them.
"Step away from the window!" She exclaimed. "You all have the same face!"
The door slammed open behind me causing me to turn around. I sighed in relief at the sight of my father who walked in the room quickly with a worried expression on his face. "There's an army of men out there who claim that they're working for Melvin Baxter."
"What?" Hope asked.
"They're referring to him now as their ruler and they're trying to take over Runne. I have my army of troops out there fighting but whatever they have created is powerful and it is taking them out. I have to go out there to fight." He revealed.
"You can not possibly go out there and fight! This is your country! If something happens to you then..." I trailed off.
He nodded. "You will become Queen. We've been preparing you for this moment since you arrived. I refuse to sit back and let my citizens die while I sit back protected. I have a duty and took an oath when I wore that crown and that was to love and protect this kingdom for as long as I shall leave and I will keep that promise!"
"What about the girls?" Hope asked.
He grabbed my hand before signaling for Carter and Rayne to come closer. They walked over and stood next to me as he gave me a soft and sad smile. "Runne is not safe for either one of you. If they see one of you then they will not hesitate to bring you to wherever Melvin is located and he will finish where he left off."
"But we aren't her." Carter stated.
"It doesn't matter!" He exclaimed. "You look exactly like her and that's enough for him. I need for you all to leave here and not come back until I send for you. It isn't safe."
"Dad, I cannot do that! This is my destiny. I am supposed to die either way it goes." I cried.
He shook his head. "Your time isn't now."
"Where will we go?" I asked.
"My home." Rayne pointed out.
"She will not last a minute in Hell. She is still a living and breathing person who is not immortal." Hope corrected.
"Go anywhere. I don't think they'll crossover to other countries since it is illegal but you have no choice but to cross the border again. Go there and hide out. I'll send for you when it's clear!"
"No."
He turned faced Carter. "Protect her. It is the only thing I ask."
Carter stared at him for a minute with the same uninterested expression on her face before looking elsewhere. He sighed heavily before placing a kiss on my forehead and letting go of my arm. Suddenly, a light blue began to appear around Carter. Rayne grabbed my hand as Carter walked towards me and grabbed my other hand before we zapped and appeared elsewhere.
I stood in the middle of the street and rubbed my face. I looked around the familiar neighborhood before turning faced Rayne and Carter who stood there patiently.
"How did you know?" I asked Carter.
"I'm a Goddess. Mind reading is one of my many traits." She replied before walking towards the two story white home and knocking on the door.
Rayne jumped in front of Carter and pressed the doorbell. "I've always wanted to do that!"
"Do you have to act stupid half of the time?" Carter asked.
"Do you have to be a b***h all of the time?" Rayne shot back. The both of them argued back and forth until the front door opened which made them stop.
"We are not taking anymore interviews." I heard a familiar voice say. She stared at Rayne with wide eyes and gasped. "Journee?"
"Well um." Rayne started but she was cut off by Penny wrapping her arms around her and pulling her into a hug.
"I've missed you so much! What are you doing here? You cannot be here now!" She said as she pulled away and wiped the tear from her eyes. "Why are you so cold?"
"Well see." Rayne started only to be cut off by Carter.
"Can you just let us in before someone sees us?" She asked yet it sounded more like a demand.
Penny stared at the both of them in confusion. "Journee?" She asked.
I sighed heavily before making my entrance. "Actually, I'm Journee."
Penny stood there with wide eyes and an open mouth as we all stood on the opposite side of the door and stared at her. She gasped before speaking. "Oh my God!"
"That's what they all say when they realize they're in hell." Rayne said. "There's no need in calling out for God now." She finished before walking in the home. Carter followed behind her as Penny just stood there with the same shocked expression.
I chuckled. "I'll explain it all." I walked into the home as Penny closed the door softly behind me. I pointed towards the living room as Rayne and Carter made their way towards the direction. I walked slowly behind them as I could hear gasps coming from the room where the both of them had just entered.
"Journee?" I heard my mom asked.
I entered the room. "Yes?"
"Why are there three of you?" Zoey asked as she stood up from the couch.
"Rayne Munroe!" Chase exclaimed.
"What?" Penny asked.
"This is Rayne Munroe!" He yelled as he pointed at Rayne. "She was in the flight that crashed in the Bermuda. I remember seeing pictures of her and saying how she looked exactly like Journee. She disappeared though and no one heard or saw from her again until now."
"Yes!" Rayne exclaimed excitedly. "You're pretty smart. It's sad that you're going where you're going. However, I didn't really want to disappear but duty calls!"
"Duty?" Penny asked as she walked over towards mom and stood next to her.
Rayne held her hand out. "I'm Rayne Munroe, The Ruler of Hell!"
My mom chuckled before shaking her head. "Ruler of Hell?"
"I know! It's shocking! Lucifer stepped down. I don't want to go in details about it."
"You are?" Zoey asked as she pointed at Carter.
"Carter, daughter of Zeus." Carter replied as she looked around the house.
"What?" All three of them exclaimed causing me to roll my eyes.
"Can we crash here? We can just have my old room. I understand if you're uncomfortable with it but we had to suddenly leave my country and teleported here." I explained.
My mom sighed heavily and nodded her head. "You know that you're welcome here anytime."
"What's going on?" Penny asked. Rayne grabbed the remote and flipped through the channels until it landed on the news.
"The Runne Kingdom has been under attack for the past few hours. There hasn't been much information revealed about the kingdom or what's happening. However, the border has been removed allowing mutants to crossover. The United States has declared an emergency. The President asks that you report the sight of any mutants and those who are housing any will result into a arrest." The reported announced.
"f*****g Hell!" Carter exclaimed causing the closet door to burst open. We all squinted our eyes at the sight of a bright white light that came from the closet.
"Why is the closet glowing?" Rayne asked.
"You'll get used to it." Carter stated. "We're going to Olympus."
"She might not make it long there. She's not immortal!" Rayne warned.
"You aren't either." Carter shot back.
"I'm dead!" She yelled.
I rolled my eyes before slamming the door shut. "We aren't traveling to Olympus. We will just have to leave and hide out somewhere."
"Here." My mom said as she stepped forward. "They'll have to send me to jail but I will not let my child run out in these streets alone. I wasn't able to protect you much before but I will do everything in my power to protect you now even if that means jail time."
Chase laughed and shook his head in disbelief. "You're pathetic and stupid then, Mother. I will stay elsewhere but I don't want to be here when the police or government bursts through that door and arrests everyone in this house for sheltering these freaks."
"You're still an asshole." I said loudly.
"I'd rather be an asshole than a weirdo. You'd be better off letting whoever is after you finish his job." He shot back. Suddenly, Chase flew back to the wall and grunted in pain as he squeezed his eyes shut in obvious pain. Carter stepped forward and stared at him with hatred.
"You will not speak to her like that." She growled. "If you dare make one wrong move. I won't hesitate to squeeze until those bright eyes of your bleed."
Chase groaned loudly as my mom asked for Carter to stop. Carter ignored her pleads. "You will respect your mother and your sister. You are a sorry excuse of a man and I pity your family for having to deal with you. You're lucky your mom is asking for me to stop so let this be your warning." She dropped her hand as he fell to the ground. Penny and Zoey rushed towards him as he groaned in pain with his hand over his stomach.
"You could've killed him!" Zoey exclaimed as she stared at Carter with fear.
"We'll just leave." I said as I held my hands up. "My intentions of coming here wasn't to cause any conflict."
"Let's go." Carter mumbled as she walked ahead of us towards the door. Rayne quickly followed behind Carter and grabbed the doorknob as they waited for me to walk towards them. I gave my mom a sad smile before speeding past the shocked family. Rayne opened the door before closing it quickly and turning around.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"There's some government officials out there!" She exclaimed.
"What?" Penny asked as she walked towards us. I watched as she peaked out the window before turning faced us in shock.
"How the hell are we going to get out of here now?" Rayne asked. "They're going to know that we're far from human and these people are going to go to jai!"
"We can always just fight them?" Carter suggested as she leaned against the wall.
"That will only make matters worst! They fear us enough as it is!" I scolded.
Before any of us could say another word, a knock sounded at the door causing all of us to look towards the source of the sound. Carter stared at Chase before placing her hand over her mouth signally him to keep quiet.
"Hello? Anyone home?" One of the men said as he knocked on the door again.
"Teleport out of here!" Zoey whispered.
"I can't!" Carter shot back. "I've never teleported more than two people. I need a break from teleporting. We won't make it out of this house if I try again."
"How are you the daughter of Zeus but too weak to teleport?" Zoey said.
"Watch yourself. I won't hesitate to show you what else I can do."
"Let's not do this!" I whispered back.
"We have no choice but to go to Olympus! We'll stay there for a few hours until I have enough energy and then bring you back before you glitch or die." Carter revealed. She walked over to the closet as the bright white shined brightly through the cracks of the door.
"Rayne can teleport!" I stated.
Rayne started at us and shook her head. "I may teleport us to hell. I'm not trying it."
"Hello?" The man yelled again.
Quickly, I grabbed her hand. "You're gonna have to take that risk."
Carter grabbed her other hand as she started at the both of us in shock and panic. "Where do I take us?"
"Anywhere but here!"
"Kick the door open!" The man demanded.
"Goddammit!" Carter nonchalantly mumbled. She held her hands up as the closet door opened and the bright white light shined brightly throughout the living room. She pushed us inside the closet as the door slammed shut. The last thing I heard was the sound of the front door being kicked open.
