The surprise

            King Nicholai's pov:

            It has been a week, since I took Allison on our date. I have been planning something for her, I know that she will really like it. I have been talking to the elders and they believe that once I mate Allison, she will turn into a full vampire, so all I have to do now is talk to her mother and former master. Which is where Allison's surprise comes in. I plan on buying her mother and giving her, her freedom. She will live with us here if she chooses. Allison is going to be excited, as I know she misses her mother dearly.

            I have still not heard anything about my brother's whereabouts and I still don't know who the spy is. I have been questioning everybody, slaves and guards alike and still nothing. I was a mixture of frustrated and worried, not worried for me as I knew I could handle my brother, but worried for Allison. While she was still half human, she was at risk. I had guards posted to her room twenty-four seven. I have been sleeping most nights with her as she has been having nightmares still. I hear her screaming at night and I find myself in her bed to calm her down. At least I know with me in there she is safe from my brother.

            I was in my study, when I heard a knock on my door, pulling me away from my thoughts. I sighed, "Come in." I instantly got a smile on my face as Allison made her way into the room. "How are you feeling, my love?" "A little tired, I woke up from another nightmare. I looked for you, but you had already left." I frowned and I felt guilty for leaving her, but I had so much to do. "I am so sorry my dear. I needed to come to my study and get work done. You were sleeping so peacefully, I didn't want to wake you." "It's okay. I understand." I patted my leg and rolled my chair out from under my desk, so she could sit on my lap. "I have a surprise for you. We will be leaving in an hour, so be ready in comfortable clothes as it is a bit of a drive." "Where are we going?" "That my dear is a surprise." She pouted at me, so I patted her hip and kissed her forehead. "Up you get, my love. Go get ready. You will enjoy my surprise." She started to get up and walk away, so I grabbed her hand and spun her around so I could give her a kiss. She blushed and giggled as she walked out of my office.

            An hour later Allison and I was in the car heading towards her mother. She has been pouting for the last ten minutes, because I refuse to tell her where were going. She was so cute, when she pouted. I just wanted to kiss her pout off her lips. I couldn't since I was driving, so instead I grabbed her hand and brought it up to my lips to kiss her knuckles. "Please be patient my love, we will be there in a few hours. You will like the surprise. I promise." She looked at me and smiled. We made conversation easily as we went down the road. We were getting to know each other better. She learned that my favorite color was blue and I learned hers was purple. We talked about our past and childhoods, mine was obviously very different from hers. It made me feel guilty learning about how she was brought up. I never really gave it much thought, I never really cared enough to have feelings for the slaves. But now, I felt so guilty for allowing slavery to happen. It was making me feel horrible, so we changed subjects. "We are getting closer to your surprise.. Do you recognize anything yet?" I asked her. I saw as she glanced out of the window with a frown on her face. But then she lit up like the sun and had a huge smile on her face as she looked over to me. She started squealing and bouncing in her seat. It was adorable and I let out a chuckle at her child-like behavior. "We are visiting my mother?! Thank you Nicholai!" "Anything for you love."

            As we entered her former master's driveway, I saw a lot of slaves with bruises and their clothes were ratty and torn. I was disgusted by what I saw. We finally made it to his house and I saw him standing outside with his pet by his side. She was beautiful, but looked like she wasn't being treated right by him. She was also only wearing her collar, leash and a very revealing bra and panties. My face hardened and my knuckles were white from how hard I was gripping the steering wheel. I needed to deal with him as soon as possible. We got out of the car and I saw Allison looking for her mother. "Welcome, my King." I was greeted by him. He looked at Allison with disgust and it only made me angrier. "Ethan, you will also welcome my future mate as well. She deserves your respect." "Of course, your Majesty. Welcome back, human." He sneered at her. Oh, this was going to be a long day. "We have much to discuss, you and I. Where is Allison's mother, Sarah? I told you that I wanted her here to greet us when we came." "Well, you see, my King. She is being punished right now, but don't worry she will be out soon." He said trying to act as if it was nothing and trying to laugh it off. It wasn't funny. I saw Allison looking at me with fear in her eyes, so I tried to calm her by holding her hand. "Well let's go inside and talk, I have many questions. But first, you will get my mate's mother. Now." He quickly nodded his head and told a slave to get Sarah. 

            Once inside his house, I saw more slaves looking beaten and malnourished. I turned away from them and told Ethan that we would talk in his office, without his pet. He seemed to want to disagree, but looked down defeated once I cut my eyes at him. As we made our way to the office, I saw Sarah coming down the hall. "Mother!" I saw Allison run to her mother and hug her, they both had matching smiles and I was happy to see them together. "Come inside my Lord. The humans can talk in the Livingroom." "No, they will be coming with us as I need to speak to you both." "As you wish, my King."

            As we were sitting in his office, I started asking the questions I needed answers to. "As you may have noticed, Allison is my future mate and she is also half vampire. She is your daughter, Ethan." He seemed surprised to hear this. "I believe you are mistaken, my Lord as we can not produce children with humans." "Well, you have and I need to know how." Allison's mother spoke up then. "Your right, she is his daughter. Although, I don't know how or why. I was a virgin when I came here and I have ever only been with my master. So there is no one else who could have fathered her." "I see, thank you Sarah." I was interrupted by Ethan banging his fist on the table. "This can not be true! I have not fathered this human! Humans are beneath us, my King. I will never bow to a human Queen!" I have heard and seen enough of this poor excuse of a vampire. I got up and put my finger on his head and he immediately burst into flames and died. Allison and Sarah were looking at me in shock, but I just shrugged my shoulders at them. "What? He deserved it. He was disrespecting my mate and he is a poor excuse of a vampire." They just nodded their heads at me. "Now, I was going to buy your mother and bring her with us. Now, I guess there will be no need for that. This meeting was a waste of time as I already knew all of this already. I gained no new knowledge." I sighed as I walked out of the office. "Your master is dead. You will all be transported to my castle. Please get your stuff ready and a ride will be here shortly to get you." I told the slaves. They bowed and ran off. I called Samuel to come here and get all the slaves and to transport them to the castle. "Come along ladies, we are leaving." I said to Allison and her mother. Allison then came over to me and kissed my cheek.

            "Thank you. You was right, I loved my surprise."
