I was so happy to receive your letter, it has been too long since we have seen each other. I do miss those days, I have almost forgotten all the things I used to do before the war started. It all seems so useless now anyway, I don’t even know if I want to go back to them. The war certainly has put a lot of things into perspective.
The front line has moved and my home is no longer safe. For the time being, my best friend has opened up her home for us. The children love it here, though the little ones are constantly asking when we will return home. Still, we are safe and healthy, and for that we are thankful.
