I heard her put the phone back down on the receiver and the line went dead. I didn’t allow myself a moment to think before jumping out of my chair and sprinting out of the room. The guards certainly seemed alarmed by my behaviour, but I couldn’t stop and tell them everything was fine. I have to get to Aris before that phone rings.
